Bowe would give Ali a hard time. All the way. Futch in the corner helps.

Bowe should not be named in the same breath as Ali.

Historical status & career standings, I could not agree more. I agree aggressively even, LOL. But he would never be an easy night for any iteration of Ali, IMO.

Bowe would give even a 1967 Ali a hard time

Because Bowe was a weight bully who feared hard punchers and Ali was the greatest.

Bowe wouldn't beat him but i agree he's be a pain in the ass match given his size and assets. At his best there's very few if any guys he wouldn't be a painful night for. Maybe guys like Foreman and Tyson and Lewis may have been able to get him out of there. There's been some doubt cast on the lack of punchers on his resume.

Off the top of my head, Ali had winning records over Liston (2-0), Patterson(2-0), Frazier (2-1), Norton (2-1), Ellis (1-0), Foreman (1-0), Quarry (2-0), a split with L. Spinks (1-1, far past his best)) and a loss to Holmes (0-1, far past his best).

Bowe had a winning record over Holyfield (2-1).

I think I will go with Muhammad Ali in this matchup. I will give Bowe the benefit of the doubt and say a Unanimous Decision Win for Muhammad Ali.
