No, he was always overrated and got exposed again. Should stick to fighting in Australia for that retirement fund

He needs a new trainer to try and iron out his long standing flaws; walking in and out in straight lines, not moving his head, and as we saw yesterday he is a sucker for a left hook. All this talk of Tszyu being a future P4P fighter was just Aussie delusion, but I do think he can pick up a belt at some point if he goes back to the drawing board.

Depends what you mean by come back, can he be protected and be made to look like he's on a come back? Probably.

But can he actually have tough fights and bounce back meaningfully? That depends on his heart.

He’s the better boxer, but Murtazaliev is tougher. Tim needs to tighten his defense and pick Murtazaliev apart first, wear him down to win, not try to outfight him, Murta has a chin, Tim has been dropped about 6 times by now, I’m guessing, not counting the times he’s been hurt and not gone down.

Doubtful. His Chin is a huge liability.

Yeah, but that noise is mostly from hitting the canvas.

Tim is a good fighter with tons of heart. He is not a great fighter.

After the damage hes taken in his last two fights, it's going hard for him to come back. The brain doesn't heal easily.

I'd feel better about his chances if his corner had intervened at some point during the second round. Referee is in a tough spot there because it's only round 2 of a championship fight, but the corner should have stepped in and prevented worse damage.

TT never was an elite fighter, tho. World class but to me more like a fringe contender than a truly championship quality fighter. He's all heart, tho, so not criticizing him.

While I didn't necessarily pick Zoo to lose last night, the outcome is not entirely unexpected when a fighter jumps right back in with a banger following a physically damaging fight. How quickly Murtazaliev dispatched him was, however.

Can Zoo reboot and grab a strap before he hangs up the gloves? I don't see why not; lesser fighters have had successful second acts. The notion that this kid was ever a special talent, though, was always wishful thinking from our friends Down Under.

If anyone can, I believe it is Tim, who is strong mentally.

However he needs to get a more experienced and professional corner, and he needs to work on his head movement if that is possible at this stage of his career.

One bad loss and it's all over at 29? I doubt it.

He does need to go back to what was working for him though. His approach at the weekend was all wrong for the guy in front of him.

I think he has a problem now. And I suspect he’ll take less risks going into future fights.

That’s a double edged sword though. He’s at his best when he is moving forward, cutting off space and out-throwing/out-landing his opponent. I wonder if taking that sort of punishment makes him gun shy in the next phase of his career.

I don’t know if he can develop the lateral movement or has the boxing smarts to make the necessary adjustments and given he may be a bit scared of getting hit now, he may not come back from that.

Tim’s next fight will be telling. He needs a good performance but above that we need to see some tweaks to how he goes about it.
