Who has the highest Ring IQ ever in the ATG HWs and who's the worst?

PS: The question concerns only ATG fighters.

Usyk and Ali are close imo as to the highest.

Joshua and Wilder instead have the worst even if honestly is very hard to consider them ATG fighters above all Wilder.

Definitely Alì, especially by how he adapted his style after losing his physical athleticism which was simply stellar.

Wouldn't consider those ATGs, I need to think more about dis one.

Ali surely. His two careers are testament to that.

    I'd probably put Usyk second.

I think a fighter to be considered an ATG gotta have a very good resume. Wilder's one isn't neither decent imo.

I would say Ali and Louis had the highest ring IQ. You could throw in Holmes in there also. Usyk is a great candidate.

When it comes to the worst, it's hard to say, as if you're an ATG, then you need to have at least a bit of a ring IQ. Foreman in Zaire showed a little bit of a low IQ, spending himself like that. Frazier against Foreman in the first fight maybe? He tried to adjust in the rematch tho. And Foreman eventually outsmarted Moorer later in his career.

Never seen Foreman closed into a corner and punched neither with Ali. Only Lyle managed for few moments. His ability to keep always the centre of the ring was due to his size, toughness and chin.

I tend to think Foreman's ring IQ is deeply undervalued for what Ali did to him. It's hard to think of a smarter human wrecking ball. A guy with that punching power and overall physical strength and durability doesn't normally do all the little things that George does, and I actually think he's brilliant in his own right. I agree that Holmes is in that company mentioned and when my children's children's children-I don't know how they're having them that young-discuss this question, Usyk will be there as well. But also now when we're discussing it now. The only question becomes when will then become now and will we have just missed it just now when it does.

Tyson Fury's heavyweight boxing knowledge is unrivalled amongst current boxers. He understands the fight game.

Usyk's consistency, dedication and commitment prevailed. Fury's complacency caught up big time. He will even it up.

Usyk beating Fury was for the greater good of everyone in the world including Fury himself he will become a better man from it and for that he is thankful for Usyk as Usyk is thankful for him his good friend greedy belly.

    Ali
    Holmes
    Lewis
    Usyk

I think Tunney would be a dark horse aswell even though he was small for a Heavyweight.

ali. in his prime he could toy with you cause it took him nothing to figure you out. he imposed his rhythm on yours and made it look like a mitt drill.

Highest IQ would surely have been Ali. Genius level and he proved it time and again.

Worst is not so clear cut. Some who have reached high levels have done it with close enough to pure brawn but hard to think of too many ATGs with poor ring IQ. Most who will have their names nominated here weren't ATG level anyway.
