    Wilder. Close thread.

Poor fighter with good power in the fully-extended right, but even that is nothing special.

I think David Price and Audley Harrison are up there. Price was supposed to be better that Fury and Audley was the next Lewis.

Mikey Garcia deserves a mention I reckon. The guy was on P4P lists all the time and everybody sung his praises but his best win was... Robert Easter? Broner? For a 4-weight champ and P4P entrant, his resume leaves much to be desired and his showing against Spence was just pitiful.

Boy did I buy into that Price hype. I was hearing stories from his sparring sessions that made him sound like a monster.

His power was absolutely top-tier elite. And despite early reports he had a chin and a heart. You don't really need a whole lot more to succeed at heavyweight.

He didn’t want to have a long career. His talent was fine.

I don't question that he was a talented fighter but people make him out to be a HOFer and some had him top 3 P4P iirc. And yet for all the praise he got he never really accomplished anything all that meaningful apart from picking up straps against middling opposition. The level of hype compared to the level of achievement just doesn't add up at all imo, even though I think Mikey was a solid fighter at the end of the day.
