The problem is that it isn't an opinion that Glass Jaw Roy on more than one occasion took precious time out of his busy schedule to pander to the sanctioning bodies to demand the changes he deemed should be made. Its a Fact. How many other fighters have done this. Tell me.

Read my post again your sole intention is anytime RJJ is brought up is to discredit him hence I'm not interested in discussing a subject with someone who is a hater and can't be balanced.

You once made a comparison with RJJ/Usyk the latter who is 6'3 with a 78 inch reach who has weighed over 200 pounds way before he moved up to Heavyweight in an attempt to discredit RJJ that says everything about your mentality.

A waste of time as I said.

Again - I don't think the other top fighters of the time were busy writing letters to sanctioning bodies demanding changes to their rankings so they could avoid certain fighters. That's a fact. You seem to know very little about the subject at hand - Glass Jaw Roy manipulating and carefully moving though divisions to collect trinket paper championship belts and avoid the real actual challengers. You might want to bow out while those of us who were actually watching boxing at the time and reading the various Boxing magazines/publications discuss this. Its documented.

Again someone who discredits RJJ anytime he is brought up in a thread that says alot about your mentality.

I don't have to bow out of anything I don't care how old you are I've seen every available fight of RJJ in the professional ranks and I'm well clued up on his career thank you very much.

If you are in your 40s or 50s or whatever seems strange to me you go on a boxing forum and hate on a fighter consistently that doesn't know you exist.

Louis Del Valle would have koed these guys. To their credit Louis Del Valle was the first man to knock RJJr down during his career.

    @Rico Spadafora

When RJJ moved up to Light Heavyweight he fought the following and these were the rankings of each fighter.

    Mike McCallum ranked 9th
    Montel Griffin ranked 4th
    Virgil Hill ranked 3rd
    Lou Del Valle ranked 5th
    Reggie Johnson ranked 4th
    Eric Harding ranked 3rd

So RJJ fought 5 fighters who ranked as top 5 Light Heavyweights at the time, and fought pretty much most of the notable fighters at that time in the weightclass. The only real name who was missing was Dariusz Michalczewski but he fought primarily in Germany, and RJJ wouldn't travel to Germany and Michalczewski wouldn't travel to America hence you had a stalemate which was no one's fault.

But i know for a fact at the time RJJ was definitely more highly regarded than Dariusz Michalczewski.

That's the problem with trying to compare boxers of today's era with previous eras. People's resume's were stacked fighting other tough contenders. Beterbiev has Gvozdyck and Bivol, Gvozdyck has Stevenson, and after that their resume's are rather thin.

AB has never been out on his feet. He has been flash knocked down, which also happened to RJJ against lou del valle who is not world class either. Also callum smith punches harder than almost anyone RJJ fought besides tarver who starched him

Callus Smith got dominated by Canelo and got beat up by Ryder at 168. He's a nobody on Roy's resume, and that says a lot

Revisiting John Ruiz and Beterbiev has nowhere near this level of ferocity and power

Flash knockdown ? Beterbiev was knocked down like a sack of potatoes and got up on shaky legs you must be joking if you think that was a flash knockdown.

Callum Smith is comparable to Clinton Woods two durable tall British fighters except Clinton Woods was a more accomplished Light Heavyweight.

The difference is Woods wouldn't even be a top 10 win on RJJ's resume where as Smith is probably a top 3 win for Beterbiev.

I'd put Bivol, Gvozdyk, Smith Jr, Marcus Browne, even Cloud above Callum Smith. But he's arguably top 5 on Beterbievs resume. Beyond Arturs top 2 wins there's not much there

clinton woods was a guy that started boxing at 25 to get into shape, he was a part time club fighter like 90% of roys resume. Not even remotely comparable
