I said that in the first I'm talking only about HWs.
Henry Amsteong didn't have any good amateur record as most fighters before 40s they went straight to pro.
Dempseys amateur record were stret fights and same goes for Jack Johnson.

Oh come on.....he failed to win THREE fights in his first nine bouts. He had the equivalent of an amateur
    career in his street fights.

Henry Armstrong had an amateur career lasting 2 years.
Sonny Liston's amateur career lasted less than a year before he turned professional.

Henry Amstrong had weak record while Liston went to AUU, had amateur fights and few years prison amateur fights unlike any of them Liston had very good experience..

Just because Sonny Liston had a very successful amateur career, winning the Chicago Golden Gloves
in 1953 ,doesn't mean he had greater amateur experience than Armstrong.
As for the prison amateur fights Liston had, they wouldn't have given him
more experience as an amateur bearing in mind Armstrong's amateur career was twice
    as long as Liston's.

Just because Sonny had a very succesful long amateur carrer doesn't mean that he was more experienced than Amstrong when turned pro?
Dude...this is so pathetic that I lost all hopes for you.

Yes longer amateur record, winning AUU golden gloves and being few years in prison amateurs means that you are more experienced than someone like Amstrong was.

I know it's hard to you but again none of the greatest HWs ever lost early fight against a bum joruneyman, not a single one.

Hmm....longer amateur record ? Perhaps you're having trouble with maths.I have stated that Armstrong's formal amateur career was twice as long as Liston's.
Prison fights or no prison fights how on earth can you say Liston
had more amateur experience than Armstrong ?

So in other words, you plagiarized someone's post, and tried to pass it off as your own, yet again.

The issue of amateur records has been discussed in other posts within this thread.Posts which completely
    discredits your arguments.

Marty Marshall was not a so-called '' bum''.He was a decent competent professional boxer.

An ancient Joe Louis managed to bloody Marciano's nose and open cuts above his eyes.Honestly Liston
would have butchered Marciano.By the way Joe Louis was able to push Marciano around in the clinches.
Where was this superhuman strength that Marciano's fanboys credit him with ?

Cleveland Williams was a late substitute for the Satterfield fight. Also Satterfield is regarded as one
of the hardest punchers in heavyweight history. No disgrace for Cleveland in losing under these circumstances. As for the Foster fight due to Cleveland Williams being shot by a trigger-happy cop he wasn't a
fraction of the fighter he was when he fought Liston.Come on man,you damn well know this.

Why are you bringing up Mercer failing to beat Holmes ? How about Tyson beating Holmes
or Holmes beating Muhammad Ali ?

A very old Sonny Liston gave Chuck Wepner 72 stitches,a broken jaw and a broken cheekbone.
A strange fight for you to use if you want to diminish Liston.

Scrap Iron Johnson went 7 rounds with George Foreman, and the full distance with
Joe Frazier and Jerry Quarry. So why criticise Sonny Liston for stopping this same
Scrap Iron Johnson in 7 rounds ?
