Frank needs crossover stars sharpish. Without them he just has a stable of quantity and not quality. Fury will be gone this time next year. Dubois doesn't move the needle. Itauma is still fighting romanian welders. He needs stars.
That might actually be entertaining. Okolie's long arms could surely slip in an uppercut without letting Whyte too near. Whyte doesn't take well to those.
Queensberry / Warren has lots of boxers who potentially can develop into stars if they are built up in the right way, but it requires a strong TV / streaming platform to make the boxers known to the general public. If Queensberry signs with DAZN, I think it´s going to be difficult even if financially it´s better than TNT.
Looks like Queensberry and BT announced a three-year extension in May 2022: https://www.frankwarren.com/queensberry-and-bt-sport-a-great-bit-of-matchmaking/ Would seem a bit early to announce any move, unless it was a "not quite three year" deal ending in December 2024. Guess we'll find out.
I really don't hope for that either, but there are lots of rumors about His Excellency buying DAZN and at the same time bringing all UK top promoters together. Imagine if Queensberry, Matchroom and Boxxer all end up on DAZN's platform ?
After his comeback in the last few years, Warren and Sky would be perfect for each other. Sky need a good stable again and Warren could do with the Sky push to improve Queensberry even further.
I'd love all the promoters on one channel, preferably Sky but if it's DAZN then so be it. Hate nothing more than paying so several different subs fees.
I think he will be a fair bit more exciting at HW but not for the reasons he hopes. I don’t think his chin will stand up to fighting at HW and he won’t have a massive reach advantage and strength, to hold when in close at HW. Unless he gets matched very carefully only against smaller HW’s and lower level types then it’s going to be a very brief HW journey for him. It should be a lot more entertaining than his CW journey was
