Big size difference but Bivol would be a heavyweight back then. Who wins. 12 rounds

You’d have to try very hard to convince me and a lot of people Bivol is anywhere near as a good as the immortal Billy Conn.

Bivol would be KO’d fast, that amateur style of his would be a liability in that era.

I was going to say that Dmitri would lose.
I mentioned Billy Conn as the LHW Champion.
They fell: Conn, Carnera, Baer, Walcott, Schmeling, Braddock, ... Dmitri would also fall.

On the one hand Bivol is really fast and elusive and has light feet. He excels at controlling range and Louis has somewhat heavy feet.

On the other hand Louis combines firepower with handspeed which is a crappy combination to face for the speedsters. Louis' chin was so-so but that's not going to be a factor since I don't believe Bivol hits hard enough to bother him.

This could be one of those fights where Bivol does surprisingly well until he's being woken up on the canvas by the docs.

For 7-8 rounds, yes. But then he gets caught and stopped.

Beterbiev staggered him multiple times but was very cautious (too cautious) in pulling the trigger.

Louis only needs to stagger him once. And once he does, he will unload a 6 punch combination with the speed that Beterbiev couldn't even dream of.

    Louis ko 10.

Louis would beat the S out of him, old A HW Ezz Charles would clown Bivol without any legs left.

Louis beats the absolute F out of Bivol so, so easily we wouldn’t want to watch it or get it on PPV folks would skip it in the real world.

Joe Louis was 6'1", weighed in under 200 early on. I'm guessing Bivol is really about 190 when stepping in the ring, and he's 6'0". There isn't THAT much of a size difference. Bivol is an average sized HW in that era.

I think if Bivol fights a perfect fight, he could potentially win. Louis was pretty slow on his feet, and Bivol is a speedy energizer bunny on his feet. In theory, Bivol could get on a bike, spend the fight peppering Louis while moving non-stop, get a win on the cards.

Issue is that it's hard to fight a perfect fight against an opponent as good as Louis. Likely outcome is Bivol looks great until Louis catches him flush, doesn't let him fully recover, grinds him down and knocks him out. But this is actually a live fight due to the matchup, Bivol having really the one thing that Louis doesn't have (fast feet).

Honestly this would be a really good fight, but I got Louis taking it like 7 to 5 or 8 to 4
