“I thought it was a great fight, I was on the fence on things, I didn’t know who was going to win. I always think it’s what dog bring what bite to the fight and Oleksandr’s bite was bigger.

I think he got robbed of a knockout in the ninth round for sure. Gifts, gifts, gifts, were given.

At the end of the day Usyk won and big congratulations to him.”

Good ol Tay Tay. Usyk was robbed of the KO. Not only that but there should have been another knockdown that wasn't counted when Fury went into the ropes. Round should have been scored 10-7.

Let me guess, the forum places great value on Wilders opinions now?

No robbery of a knockout. People need to get over that. Wilders opinion is not to be taken seriously either.

They accept Wilders opinion (that goes along with their narrative) but deny Usyks comment about Fury being his toughest bout!

    Can’t make this stuff up!

Exactly. Wilders absurd claims regarding the Fury fights alone disqualify him from being taken seriously in this context. His being a mentally ill buffoon disqualifies him from being taken seriously in general.

Really? I've watched boxing my entire life. I cannot recall too many fights where a guy is being tagged and staggering around the ring, defenseless like Fury was and the fight not being stopped. I'm sure some of the more knowledgeable historians can site some fights, but I'm sure those fights are the exception, not the rule. In other words, I've seen more fights stopped when a man is in the condition of Fury than allowed to continue.

Got to agree with you here. The only reason it wasn't stopped was because of the magnitude of the fight.

Agreed. And to his credit, Fury did remain tough throughout the remainder of the fight.

Wilder is a known clown and garbage but this is not such a controversial opinion

Fury recovered and saw the fight out. That ends the debate. We can speculate about whether the ref would have extended the same treatment to Usyk or someone else all we want. The ref made a judgement call and decided against stopping the fight. Much like how the ref in Fury/Wilder I counted instead of waving the fight off in the 12th round. a judgement call =/= gift. Politics may have had a role. The magnitude of the fight/event might have played role. Furys ability to recover may have played a role. All possible but speculative. It came down to judgement and the ref decided to let it go. Based on Fury seeing the last 3 rounds out and even having a bit of success suggests that the ref made the right call.

Usyk had 20-30 seconds to finish Fury but couldn't

    Stay mad.

Usyk found out that even when Fury is out on his feet he has defensive ability and a strong ability to stay upright. He did manage to accumulate a number of other punches that left Fury pretty much finished but it was too late at that point.

Fury reached the end of the round wilted onto the ropes got a count and then got a nice 60 second rest in the corner, all he needs to see out the rest of the fight. A titan among men.

Next time out he isn't dropping both his hands with the worst 1,2 he's ever thrown. Tight. Focused.

People still defend Fury being given the benefit of doubt every time an appropriate situation comes up?

The enlightenment era is still happening in some places.
