I mean according to some people Inoue's been "struggling" against all the 122 guys post-Fulton...

Marlon "Inoue took 10R to KO him" Tapales
Luis "Inoue was knocked down first before dropping him 3 times to a 6R KO" Nery
TJ "Inoue took 7 rounds to KO an old guy" Doheny

Frankly, Inoue's "struggle" against Goodman would depend on how much he actually goes on the offensive. If he decides to imitate Nery he probably would drop faster than Nery, but if he decides to imitate Butler and shell up, I can see a possibility of Goodman lasting until an UD loss against Inoue given that he's bigger and probably have a higher tolerance to pain than Butler.

Actually MJ is still likely to get his chance in April with Nakatani summer and 126 next winter.

This is the fight where we find out if he is Penske material or not.

Hopefully Inoue’s car gets towed during the fight and he exists the ring

Goodman actually has a good resume. Most of his opponents have been seasoned and fairly experienced themselves. But he is woefully unprepared for this one, he should have fought at least one current top 10 guys before being thrown in there with someone like Inoue.

In my opinion has the best pedigree of a non title fighter in the sport. He really could have been fighting for titles a few years back, but keeps adding decent to good opponents to his list. Despite the antics, he's very admirable in that sense

By the way if it wasn't already mentioned here Takei's opponent officially confirmed as Yuttapong Tongdee, WBO no. 10 dude. After two consecutive wars with Moloney and Higa I guess he was due for an easy one.

Granted I think his first choice fell through and got a backup last minute, no way Tongdee took this long to finalize and took longer than Goodman.

It´s also on fairly short notice. Thai guys come somewhat cheap, so it´s likely why Tongdee got the shot.

Does this guy have some meaningless belt so that Inoue’s fan boys can fill a box on their spreadsheet of Inoue stats?

Nah, Goodman is just a normal mandatory No. 1 in two organizations of the same division Inoue fights at. He isn't like the weakest beltholder from 130 who got permission to be allowed to keep his 130 belt after he inevitably loses to the 135 beltholder.

Did I read this correctly or did you just start talking about unrelated fighters’ resumes in order to justify the 8 ko terror from down under?

Nah, you are just reading too deeply into nothing. All I'm saying is that Goodman's just another normal mandatory ranked No. 1 for two of the four organizations in the same division as Inoue, thats all. He doesn't have any "special" 122 belt that the alphabet soups like to give out like candy which is what you were asking in the original post, and just for clarifications he isn't a current beltholder from the division below either, simple as that.
