What in the world? It's been 25 years. I'd of watched even back in 2015 when they were talking about it, but this is nuts. I think he's 54-55. Ayman Faroul Ababs is the opponent, 4-6-1 Diete Spiff Civic Center, Part Hartcourt
yeah at this age im sure he can still beat low level competition because he can get in good shape still but the problem is taking a shot. archie moore said old fighters cant exchange punches
I think the whole thing is a bad idea but they only way it would be just barely acceptable in my eyes if if they do seniors fights. McCall is fighting again, too. Maybe that is a fight.
He s been trying to fight again for a while. All those years locked up never once stopped his mind from thinking he doesnt have it anymore because he never actuslly lost in the ring. He s looking in good shape from the videos I’ve seen but there is no way he can do a George Foreman. This card is also in Nigeria and I doubt he gets in the US again. Also the opponent doesnt seem as weak as I would have hoped.
Btw his opponent drew in a 6 rounder with Christopher Lovejoy and went the full Egyptian championship distance for the domestic title. Even that is worrying.
I am not normally a fan of guys in their 50's fighting - i don't think it should be licensed. That being said, Ibeabuchi is an awful person and i have no problem with him getting a beating.
Yeah there was still a small chance he could be somewhat decent and have some fun scraps like Mansour did. But that ship has long since sailed. This will probably end up like the Ruddock comeback did. Might still be able to bust up a few mediocre journeymen, but someone barely in the top 50 will end up putting his lights out should he go up a level or two from that. The best case scenario is he fights like the likes of Ruddock(who yes is still active) Toney, Tyson, McCall, Williams, Jones or any of the other 50+ crowd. Mansour fully retired? That one would be funny considering the amount of time both have spent behind bars. Is Etienne ever getting out?
