That he was a big fool. The man uppercutted himself and looked like a greaseball. He wasn't taken serious by anyone.

I remember the predictions for a possible Fury vs Price fight were 90%+ in favour of Price chinning Fury.

Fury was a joke at the time of the McDermott 1st and 2nd fights. Lets not forget that Price Knocked McDermott out in 1 round, compared to Fury who lost the first fight by a couple of rounds in reality (despite the gift).

I remember his early days too, he was an undercard novelty who had a high opinion of himself that most people laughed off

Appears Fury sensationally proved the British public wrong

That's true, he wasn't taken seriously by people who didn't/don't know what they're seeing. You seem to have sleepless nights over Fury. I bet you were one of those saying Price, Chisora, Haye, Cunningham, Klitschko, and Wilder would knock him out. ;)

I attended some of his early fights. You was probably 14 at the time. Tyson didn't have the amateur pedigree of say James Degale, Tony Jeffries, the blonde northern lad who i forget. The heavyweight scene on the domestic front was led by David Price and David Haye on the world front. Tyson Fury wasn't anything back then. He was Larry O level. Not one expert would have said he would do what he did. Maybe apart from your good self.

From what I remember Fury was a novelty based on his size and his name. He certainly proved a few people wrong.

Poor troll, and hilarious recollection of events. David Haye was in his thirties and Price wasn't far off. David Haye didn't beat anyone at heavyweight except Chisora, who Fury had already beat as a 22 year old! David Price was conquering the world scene by being knocked out twice by a 41 or 42 year old Tony Thompson.

You have never liked Fury and he has caused you to suffer for over a decade. It's ok. I hope your mummy tucked you in nice at night.

It's ok with me that you wasn't around then. The mere fact you bring age in to the debate shows that. How old was you back then?

"It's ok that you wasn't around then."

My six-year-old has a better grasp of grammar! Ironic given that you are trying to belittle someone on the grounds that they were in the minority that predicted Fury to be a world champion. It's not my fault that you don't have an eye for talent.
