My man is straight up buying the sport of boxing.. part of me wants to think it’ll be a bad thing some how… but uh.. Dana White basically runs MMA, and he hardly ever misses…certainly less than virtually any boxing promotion or any combination of them… I know there are “competitors” to the UFC…. But are there really? will be interesting to see how things continue to unfold.
Mark Chamberlain and Hamzah Sheeraz will soon be in the p4p list LOL and Canelo Alvarez will be gone.
Turki been studying Dana White don’t think he’s not plotting a UFC style takeover. And honestly those involved have no one to blame but themselves. All the promoters that wanted to monopolize title fights to further their company while squeezing every dime out of fans until exhaustion. All the promoters/fighters who stalled on fights to make undesirable fights instead. There was definitely going to be a breaking point and it’s near.
A while ago, I posted the only way you'd ever see a UFC model in Boxing would have to be some random Saudi prince buying out all the promotions as only they would have that insane kind of money. Never thought I'd actually see it come about.
Turki is the best thing that's ever happened to boxing. Hopefully now we get to see it transition into UFC style management.
With all the flaws the sport of boxing has, I prefer it to remain as it is now, MMA and all his differents promotions won't make their own fighters mix in with fighters from another company, so we never get to see, UFC champion against Bellator or One champion. Of course UFC is supposed to have the best fighters but there are quality warriors that would beat them in other companies as well.
