    If ring names counts, Yuri Arbachakov once had "Yuri Ebihara" for his ring name,but changed it because the word "ebi" sounds very similar to the Russian word of fucc.

    Well his given name is Jose, but Pipino Cuevas’s nickname (which is how he was always referred to as) translates to cucumber.

    Maybe because when opponents got hit with that big left hook, they were in a pickle.

    You know,in the Caribbean, pickle is spelled pEpino..but its the same thing lol I knew what it was.

    Actually, it means lime, but Spanish speakers (latin american anyway) think that a lime is a lemon, so even ones that are fully bilingual will translate "limon" as "lemon". It's a weird quirk. Go to a Mexican restaurant, ask for "lemon", you'll get a sliced lime 100% of the time.
