Clip from Robert Garcia (who promotes Vergil) talkin bout how Bud may be done. Seems like a real possibility given his age and passing up fight after fight (Fundora, Vergil, etc).

Also, Crawford is past his best days. IDK if he even beat Madrimov tbh...And I'm a Crawford STAN who said Bud would beat Floyd at 147 prime for prime and would compete w Fab 4

Crawford vs Madrimov was competitive but a clear win for Crawford. Madrimov did too much feinting/moving and not enough punching.

funny how that strategy depends upon your popularity and nationality to be successful on the cards.

Not really Madrimov's output was poor he only threw 275 punches and in 10 out of the 12 rounds he threw less than 30 punches.

Can you think of an American fighter that has won a close decision in a big fight with that type of punch output ?

The scorecards were fair and reflected how I see it which waa Crawford winning by 2 or 3 rounds.

guarantee there have been plenty if one studied it. punch stat is as crooked as officiating and judging btw.

Whether you think the punchstats were accurate or not just by looking at the fight its quite apparent Madrimov was not active enough. He would land the occasional eye catching right hand then he would go back to wasting energy constantly feinting/moving without actually punching.

Its a tough fight to watch. A literal sparring session. Crawford had some generous scorecards. Best I could do was give him a draw. Bud was more active but a lot less effective.
