This is more like it. Asks Hearn twice if there’s a scientific explanation as to how it was in his system and he avoids answering. Just gives some spiel about a full hearing.

How on earth have they managed to get themselves into this situation where they and the governing body for anti doping UKAD, are both sitting there dead, unable to do anything at all because there's another body called the NADP who have decided there's nothing to answer. Well yeah, that’s how it’s meant to work, it shouldn’t be like a traditional legal case. The moment you are found with banned substances in your system, you are immediately considered ‘guilty’ and banned, and the onus is on you to then prove your innocence and that you’ve done nothing wrong.

It’s just when high profile sportspeople (typically boxers) who have big teams of people and money behind them get their legal teams involved to try and disprove and discredit the findings that things go awry.

 

Benn also keeps referring to the WBC clearing him, even though the reason they gave was eggs and he disagrees with it. So he’s happy at being cleared but disagrees with why they’ve cleared him. Couldn’t make it up.

List of excuses so far:

- contamination
- too many eggs
- genetic trait

Hearn pulled Buatsi out of a fight 2 weeks before the news broke about Benn in 2022 because Jean Pascal wouldn’t sign up to VADA testing. 2 weeks later and Benn fails a VADA test and VADA suddenly doesn’t matter and UKAD is better. Again, you couldn’t make it up.

Or an easier way is to just watch Benn’s performances before and after the failed tests and see how his power disappeared despite the level of opponent being a lot lower.

Or look at the drop off in performances of all Tony Sims fighters and/or how they started pulling out of fights.

 

Honestly, To me Conor Benn embodies everything that's wrong with modern sport, and to some extent, life. He believes it's his right to not only spout utter bull****, but to have people believe him. Absolute essence of entitlement. We all know he's just served a 2 year ban, it's mental to even try to spin it any other way. But here we go again, with the pity party.
I'd rather no one fight him, don't give him owt, not a penny.
