He would have aged out Usyk another year, two maybe even three! That's a poor reflection on Floyd isn't it? And if he was Canelo Alvarez he would have just bought out another judge bahahaha
If he was Mayweather, he'd never fight someone fast/faster and with good boxing skills. And he'd definitely try the Wlad trick of using the squishy canvas if he did. But of course, if Fury was Mayweather, the English would actually love him and there would have been a massive fanfare after the Wlad win, plus a ton of sponsors lining up to do business.
If he was Floyd mayweather he would have more than 3 good wins and no losses to McDermott and Ngannou Seriously, Floyd did have his faults, but his ability as a fighter and resume destroys Fury Only a spastic would put that fat oaf in the same breath as Floyd P.s if Fury was Floyd he would have the necessary skills to school usyk and not need saved by a ref. Can anyone point to win Floyd got battery like that by someone half his size?
Fury fought Usyk on a level playing field. Usyk is the epitom of what a fighter should be.duck and dodge isn't in his vocabulary.
Usyk was half his size and older Floyd fought Oscar, cotto, hatton, Mosley, corralles etc on even playing field I never mentioned manny, because no doubt you will mention the drip. Maybe Floyd should have eaten some wild boar instead? He also schooled manny, schooled canelo who was a little green, but much bigger and a seasoned pro He also beat many other world champs. Marquez was easily as skilled as usyk with a better resume. Floyd absolutely obliterated him on the cards "But Floyd was bigger and came in heavier"? Yes, but Fury had a much greater discrepancy against usyk and lost Floyd was a diva and he did pick his fights later, but so has Fury who has beat nobody great outside a 40 year old wlad who he bottled the rematch with You are obviously trolling to compare Fury to Floyd. He's not even on the same galaxy as a fighter or resume Floyd also handled his novice mma fighter appropriately. He didn't need shady judges to save him lol
Well this is it in a nutshell I could at least humor usyk being measured to Floyd, as he is undisputed in 2 categories away from home, although his resume still doesn't measure up. But at least that's a debate I'd entertain, but Fury? Who has he beat outside an old wlad that is in any way great? If he beats usyk that will be his second great win, vs a man much smaller and even older Guy isn't even close to Mayweather
I have rewatched Floyd's fights many times, much more than Fury Regardless, you are moving the goal posts Fury isn't half as good, or as accomplished as Floyd. He's not even close. Despite his lies about not caring about money, he also falls in that category Both are divas, but Floyd earned the right to be a diva, he paid his dues. How many world champions has Fury beaten? How many legit titles has he defended, not this lineal crap? Usyk is the man to compare to Floyd, not that big lumbering idiot Fury is good, potentially great sometimes, but he is not on Floyd's level and he isn't on usyks level The only reason I picked Fury to win last time and still giving him a chance is size. Without that? He is nothing and usyk would play with him It's his size, awkwardness and heart, I will say that about him that makes him decent But skill? Not even close to the like of Usyk, Floyd, Marquez, lomachenko etc
It's probably true that despite being considerably less disciplined and consistent, Fury has taken greater risks than Mayweather. Fury has been the underdog on four occasions (about to be five), Mayweather never. Perhaps it would be five right now if Haye (who was a 75-25 favourite) hadn't ducked Fury. Fury fought away from home and as the B-side in four of his five biggest fights, Mayweather never (exclusively fighting in Vegas in the 2nd half of his career) and against bigger punchers in relative terms than Mayweather fought. Mayweather delayed the Pacquaio fight 5+ years, nine fights and two Pac losses, one by stone cold KO in his 4th fight with Marquez. Fury by contrast could have realistically fought Usyk only about one year earlier than he actually did (Usyk wasn't ready for late 2022 and had unfinished business with Joshua prior to that).
There is a simple reason why Floyd was never the underdog and against much better competition than Fury
If Fury was Floyd Mayweather, he'd probably be 230lbs and in better health, would never have had that layoff with drug habits, would never be seen thrown out of a bar drunk (god damn, how drunk do you have to be to be a national sports figure and tossed out of the bar), etc. You're completely changing the man's dedication and discipline, rewriting his entire career.
