Typical TR matchmaking: a nameless no-hoper with a glossy, undefeated record.

Typical mungia match making you mean. I can't believe people were taking him seriously to be the next big break out star after the Canelo fight lol. Always been a can crusher and it continues. He ducked Benavidez twice at 168 and got his Canelo pay day, so back to business as usual. I doubt he even fights Plant.

I kinda agree, not that Plant part. Munguia does take the occasional risks. It seems he just wants to stay busy while looking for another opportunity that comes with high reward and calculated risk.
If a belt was on the line, Munguia would take that Plant fight for certain.

Wonder if Nery is going to officially move up to 126 or come back down to 122 and try to raise his rankings up again ala Tapales and try for a belt post-Inoue vacating and before Nakatani collecting them.

after that scare they got from Chenko, and then being fed to the cash cow, you had to expect they'd go back to protecting him. Eventually they gotta set up a match with a recognizable name for a big mayday. Someone like Plant or Charlo would be ideal at some point.

Could they have picked a more feather fisted opponent for Munguia ?
