I think if Karen was a more busy in the clinch he could have had more success.

Boots had good volume and landed some very good shots but I think Karen also landed some very good shots that if he had a bit more power could of spelled danger for Boots.

Boots will be a lot better at 154 I think. Making 147 plus adhering to the IBF rehydration limit can’t be good for him. Also a fight like this where he got plenty of resistance will do a lot of good for him, as he probably had developed a bit of a front runner mentality prior

Honestly forget about Madrimov, Crawford, and Ortiz. Teo vs Boots, winner gets Crawford.

The only way Karen could have won tonight is a KO. He could have won every round and still lost on the cards

Most likely he’s the away fighter, and with those scorecards he was always doing an uphill battle.

They would have DQ'd him if he actually dropped Booty.

^ Gotta dash, lads. Only I've got the missus to bury, and it'll be getting light before I know it here in the UK.

Now where did I put that bloody shovel??.....

The crooked US judges and shills like Mannix ignore the vast majority of the good work the foreigner or B side does over there and score everything their boy throws, throws as in even when it's blocked or misses. Like I said, you can't watch that and not give at least 6 rounds to Karen. Sure Smokey Boots had plenty of success of his own but Karen had plenty of his own and the better of the action in at least 6 rounds.

Even if you think 6 is too much he 100% won at least 5 and he has a much stronger case for winning 7 or 8 rounds than only 5. That's pure corruption no ifs or buts. Karen was landing clean eye catching shots all night and landed more of them in at least 6 rounds. Not sure how anyone can argue otherwise unless they're blind.

Bozy and Jaron Ennis showcased that they lack in the IQ area.. Boots is simply an extremely athletic fighter who looks great vs B and C level fighters. But even then, he gets hit a bunch with the same punches all night until his athleticism creates an open with the undisciplined opponents. Tonight he had a familiar opponent who made adjustments to try and get the win. We didn't see Boots do anything different to create an advantage for himself all 12 rounds. And listening to his pops coach him in the corner........I'm not a big fan of coaches telling fighters "to do something" without telling them "what to do"..........Bozy kept yelling, "get him outta there" and "let your hands go".....etc..... But there was no strategy given in between rounds.

Then when he did bark out instructions during the rounds, we saw Boots do....NONE OF IT. Chin was exposed.... Jab became more and more scarce.... He sold out a lot trying to throw power punches rather than using his timing.......

That is the big difference between him and Crawford. He may need to get a new trainer if he honestly wants to be elite at any of the divisions he claims he's going to dominate.

I’m gonna call it like I see it he’s 27 had over 30 fights he’s a seasoned pro now and a champ don’t make excuses for him this was a **** showing and moving up to 154 is not going to fix crap defense and predictable offense

Boots took some punches tonight bc he stands and trades to be fan friendly to go for KOs. But bc he gets hit sometimes people think he’s losing bc he’s a - 1million fave and he shouldnt be getting hit ever. Standard fare stuff from viewers. Chuk did pretty well but definitely didn’t win 7 rds which is what he would’ve needed to get a dec with a KD against. First 4 rds I thought they split them. Ennis probably won the next 5 rds. Chuk arguably won 2 of the last 4. I can see giving him 4 rds. Fair. 7? That’s just fantasy stuff.
