Ennis is overrated don't get me wrong i like him as a fighter and i was quite high on him at first, but then i started to watch more of his fights and i was alarmed how much he gets hit and admires his work. He's far too hittable to me and i've always thought once he meets a genuine world class fighter his own size you will really start to see his flaws.

I didn't watch this rematch but I thought Karen's first fight with Ennis was close. About 116-112 in Ennis favour. The fact every judge gave every round to Ennis in that fight was a joke I felt.

@CST80 I don't always agree with your scorecards but i think your spot on here, i just caught up on the fight and i couldn't believe my eyes. Ennis was catching so many flush punches i thought Karen won it handily IMO especially in the later rounds he put a whooping on Ennis in round 12.

    1 Karen
    2 Karen
    3 Karen
    4 Karen
    5 Ennis 10-8 Knockdown
    6 Ennis
    7 Ennis
    8 Karen
    9 Karen
    10 Ennis 10-8 point deduction
    11 Karen
    12 Karen

    114-112 Karen

Not at all Madrimov was too passive and was only landing the occasional right hand he clearly got outworked in a competitive fight.

Karen on the other hand was landing clean accurate shots all night long that visibily stunned/rocked Ennis numerous times and he won the last 2 rounds big.

The judges scorecards also weren't that bad in the Crawford fight compared to this fight they were a disgrace.

He got rocked once but he was never really hurt, not at all. Ennis outlanded him in more rounds is the point

I keep hearing people say Boots was rocked, staggered, stunned etc. Can you provide the time stamps?

I thought 116-110 was a fair score. I thought the Ukrainian won 4 clear rounds, so that score was well within reason for me. I thought the othe two scores were trash.

I agree Chukhadzian worked much more than Madrimov. Analyzing both showings, Chukhadzian is the more dynamic fighter, the more skilled boxer and the better fighter. I don't see the other belt holders beating the Chukhadzian from last night.

Can we just talk about this cards again? What in the actual ****? I had Boots ahead by like 1 round — I think the KD is what sealed it for him. For the cards to show him way ahead is so blatantly corrupt. And unfair for him, because it takes away his hard fought victory.

Judges who produce scores like that shouldn’t be judges.

Here we go with moving the goal post...... WTF does his age got to do with anything?

Crawford started his career at age 20/21.....Ennis started his career at age 18/19. By the time Ennis was 21 he had 20 pro bouts under his belt......

It would make more sense to compare their resume by the number of fights being parallel.......

But just for giggles.....I'll play your game.

Boots in 34 fights at age 27...........His only world title was given to him due to Crawford being stripped because he was obligated to honor a rematch clause. Didn't even fight for a vacant title.

Top 5 names on his resume with 34 bouts.......
    -Sergey Lipinets (former lightweight champion)
    -Thomas Dulorme
    -David Avaneysan
    -Custio Clayton
    -Roiman Villa
NOT ONE OF THOSE OPPONENTS WERE RANKED IN THE TOP 10 OF THE DIVISION AT THE TIME OF THE BOUT.....

    NOW:
Bud in 25 fights at age 27.........
-Ricky Burns (3x world champion across 2 divisions)
    -Ray Beltran (world champion)
-Yuriorkis Gamboa (2x world champion across 2 divisions, UNDEFEATED, and was ranked in the top 5 p4p list by all major boxing sanctioning bodies, as well as The Ring Magazine)

Don't need to name 5 for Bud because not one of Boots opponents was more accomplished than Ray Beltran alone....

Everything above is factual, documented, and can be found on a timeline. I can do nothing but laugh at the emotions that you may use to dispute it because it doesn't favor Boots.

It's simply hilarious hwo so many get a WiFi connection and just say anything without fact checking.......Boots doesn't have a single win over a top 10 opponent, but you argue that his resume trumps Crawford's.....lol. At what point will reality be showcased in a discussion about Jaron Ennis......The man who markets himself as being the "Boogieman" when he has done nothing to a single top talent that warrants him being ran from. Hell, he's had multiple fighters aggressively call him out and he came up with excuses on why he isn't interested in the fight. Blair Cobbs has been barking his name for 5 years now and showed up at the post press conference this weekend.

You want to compare resumes.......Boots doesn't have a better resume than Blair Cobbs, nor does any of his opponents. Let's be real.

I don't know if you purposely try to play stupid or you are really are struggling with comprehension.

It's idoitic to suggest I shouldn't bring up Crawford in a discussion about Ennis, when the only thing consistently brought up in an Ennis discussion is Crawford comparisons, warranted or not.

Maybe you are simply here to just debate rather than discuss the subject.

I'll slow it down for you......
I'm not discussing CRAWFORD....I'm discussing Ennis....I simply said, I wanted to make sure that the goal post isn't being moved for Ennis and he is being held to the same standard and I REFERENCED a post I mentioned Crawford's previous opponents and what their value. You and others don't use the same energy to find a "silver lining" for Crawford as you do for Boots.

Madrimov, though only having 11 pro fights, is well versed in the ring with over 300 amateur bouts. He was an undefeated world title holder. His fight was NO WHERE NEAR as close as the homer commentators tried to make it out to be as broken down many times by more experienced and qualified individuals in the sport.....Madrimov victory is shot down with the claim of "he only had 10 fights" Meanwhile Karen victories will "age well".......

But I never mentioned Crawford so why are you crying like I called him a bum and crapped on his resume. "You and others" what do you mean by this ?

I have already said the Madrimov win was impressive because I rate Madrimov

You conveniently pick and choose the points at which you compare the two. So what if Boots had more fights when he first fought for a belt? He fought quite a few good names during that time. Just like Crawford did.
And lets not act as if Crawford beat anyone in the top 10 before facing Burns.

Hello. I found an interview with Chukhadzhyan's manager, where he explains, among other things, why Chukhadzhyan was so bad in the first fight. interview October 30:

-The fans in the US are not thrilled with how Karen fought his first fight. They think he wasn't boxing to win, he was just trying to survive in the ring. I think if they knew that Karen had no training as such, their attitude would be a little more loyal. How are things with the camp this time? Is everything okay? Any problems?

    - If we talk about training for the first fight, there was none at all. We were offered the fight in mid-November (the fight took place on January 7). Karen and Slava went to Romania first.

They started to get a visa. Karen had two refusals for a tourist visa at first. They gave me people who work with athletes.

The host side didn't contact us at all. I had to write a letter to the IBF complaining that they weren't helping us in any way. Because only the host side can get the P-1 (US visa for athletes and artists). We couldn't do anything without them.

I don't remember the name of Ennis' manager. He just disowned us and that was it. Then Tom Brown got involved and put us in touch with a lawyer. They told us that we had no chance of getting a visa before January 7. They said, "That can't happen."

But the chairman of the IBF rating committee, Carlos Ortiz Jr., said that if that were the case, the fight would be postponed. He told them, "These are your problems, not Chukhadzhyan's." And only after that did they get involved.

So. Chukhadzhyan and Senchenko were in Romania for about 10 days. There were only two amateurs there (as sparring partners). I did everything remotely then, because the company closed (the boss of Facher Sport Management closed the company due to illness). No money, nothing.

From Romania then to Hamburg. Because they found a place in Berlin for an interview (to get a visa to the USA). In Hamburg we had two sparring partners. And Karen had 4 sparring sessions with them.

At the end of December we were told that there was definitely a specialist in Prague. By that time all the papers had already arrived. And probably already in the 20th of December we went to Prague. And the interview took place on December 30.

Only Anatoly Khunanyan (40-year-old journeyman light heavyweight) was in Prague. He helped Karen. In total there were about 6 sparring sessions.

Plus constant stress. Especially after Ennis told us that they already had a reserve opponent - also Ukrainian Ivan Holub. He was already a substitute, agreed to box for less money.

But we did not give up. The interview was on December 30. We received the visa on December 31. And on January 1 we flew out to the fight.

I think that all this "burned" Karen more than the weight loss or the wrong sparring partners. Until the last moment, we didn't know whether we would get to this fight or not.

    - I wouldn't wish such New Year's adventures on anyone...

    - Well, yes... This time, of course, we had everything. Everything we needed - an apartment, a car, sparring partners coming every week, sports nutrition, equipment. Everything was as it should be.
