One-punch knockouts are a rarely in boxing, and one-punch KOs with a body punch are even more rare. How many can we come up with? I’ll start with two: Micky Ward vs. Alfonso Sanchez Roy Jones Jr vs. Virgil Hill I know there are many more but those are the two that come immediately to mind. I’ll let you guys take it over from here.
Nakatani-Astrolabio can we consider Bam-Estrada or no because both tried to work their bodies? Inoue basically most of his career
Duràn vs Fernandez, while there's a massive, hard low blow done by Duràn that was counted a down,I think it's from how much Duràn exhausted the dancing Vilomar.
Just last night I watched Ricky Hatton's comeback bout with Senchenko. And let me tell ya, Senchenko leveled him in the 9th with a left hook to the liver that sprawled Ricky for minutes.
I was going to mention this one myself the sound of it is so loud and clear it makes me wince. I guess I'll mention another one that hasn't been mentioned yet Gerry Cooney vs Ron Lyle he actually broke Lyle's ribs I believe aswell. Arutro Gatti vs Leonard Dorin was a pretty good one aswell. Lucian Bute was a pretty good body puncher that no one really talks about he also had a good body shot KO vs Librado Andrade who was known to be pretty durable at the time.
You beat me too it by four minutes. I was going to say Gatti against Dorin which I think is Gatti's best win. I had money on Dorin in that fight and couldn't have been more wrong. Also, I agree about Lucian Bute being a very good body puncher. Bute was very underated as a fighter overall.
Corrie Sanders had a few body punch kos. Maybe not 1 puncher KOs though. Golovkin has 2 that I can recall.
