What rules? What weight? Come on bro you put up dozens of these, you should know by now these things matter. If it's 1995 rules, huge advantage for Roy. If it's 1910 rules, huge advantage for Sam. They can meet anywhere from MW to HW and the weigh in rules matter too. Step it up!

12 rounds at 175, 1995 rules but with gloves from Langford's era.

    mix it right up.

I'll give Roy the benefit of the doubt that he won't break his hand with these weird gloves but i'll also say that he tries to flurry and move early, stay out of trouble, get used to sitting down on the punches later in the fight when he needs them. That probably works in his favour tbh. If you watch the sparse footage of Sam, pretty much everyone is uncertain about him and wants to make way, and he has no problem staying organised. He's never met anyone as fast as Roy though and I think he'd meet with limited success. Roy meanwhile, gaining in confidence and starts looking to hit just a little bit harder, harder as he goes, tempted by Sam's low gloves. Conservative Roy, maybe managed by his dad, would be well in control on the cards moving into the second half of the fight...repeatedly told to drop that right hand, to just hit with the left and move, Roy's less happy with the left hook than the right hand in these little gloves and in the seventh, the eighth, he starts to land the right hand on Sam, and although Sam could eat them all night without being stopped, he does start appearing to drop his weight onto his rear foot when hit with the right hand, like he wants to ditch it. Roy warms to the punch, warms to the punch and in the tenth, he lands two peaches, bang, bang, gorgeous right hands.

When Roy wakes up in the dressing room he thinks he's won, but Langford KO10 Jones is the result. Roy swears off the right hand in private and publicly demands the rematch, but Sam has signed to fight the winner of Usyk-Fury and Roy prefers not to move up to HW at this time...
