One that Pacquiao got dropped in and violently KTFO. That qualifies as a whooping, and for what it's worth, I prefer Pacquiao to Marquez, and was quite pissed about the outcome.

Wouldn't call it a whooping. Was it competitive or not? Whoopings aren't competitive. A competitive fight can end in a KTFO.

JMM was getting hammered when he stopped Pac.

Sure, it was competitive, but clearly the rules for this thread are loose, with Canelo-BJS, Wlad-Fury and Fenech-Nelson being throw out with reckless abandon. So in my mind, it comes closer than those three. I don't really care enough to argue otherwise though.

Is Norton an ATG? If so, Foreman vs Norton.

He dropped Pac before AND was getting hit a lot later in the fight, though still landing big shots. It's common knowledge the KO came when he was having his worst moments.

Id take number 4 out of that list. Tyson beat Holmes, yes, but Holmes did fight a decent fight for a man who was 37 and a half and hadnt boxed in 2 years and won since David Bey almost 3 years before. In fact I had more respect for Holmes after the Tyson fight than ever before.

The other 3, absolutely. I'll even add . Joe Louis-Max Schmeling 2, Wilfredo Gomez-Carlos Zarate and, since someone mentioned Lionel Rose earlier, Ken Norton vs. Earnie Shavers to that list. Oh and Alfonso Zamora vs. Eusebio Pedroza and Felix Trinidad vs Bernard Hopkins as well.

I wont add Salvador Sanchez vs. Wilfredo Gomez, tempted as I am to do so. Gomez was still in the fight until round eight started.

Ali V Liston hasn't been mentioned much on this topic.

Remember Foreman said Liston was the only man strong enough push him back and make him fight on the backfoot.
