I think he's alright as a journalist, knows his boxing, but ya can tell he wants to be known as a personality as much as a writer. And the way he sucks up to the Fury lot is a bit much.

 

I think he's an interesting guy, so what if he wants to be part of the story. Gonzo man, gonzo...

 

Would have went up in my estimation if he stood up to Benn or at least threw an egg at him.

 

Don’t agree that pundits need to have boxed. Matt Christie was brilliant on Sky the other week.

I bet a lot on here have a better boxing knowledge than a load of fighters.

Davies, look up your Welsh ancestors who fought the Romans and Saxons in brutal combat, spilling their blood all over the land.
It's a bit different to having your 'war' stopped by a referee and doing a post fight interview, then getting some burgers.

One of the best boxing writers to ever do it, AJ Liebling never boxed as far as I know. Sure being an ex fighter gives you a different perspective and is valuable in itself, but not mandatory.
GAD can be a bit of a fool sometimes but I'll take an old school journo with experience in the industry like him over the mouth breathers with cameras like Parsons.
