Actually, a terrific example of good refereeing. The guy is obviously dead to the world, and even after he begins punching in the air, the ref persists with his count before calling it.

Of course, the ref had the discretionary right to do so - therefore, it must have been the right thing to do.

One of my favorites is that the referee didn't intervene due to Fury being at risk of serious or permanent injury, but...because Fury didn't suffer serious or permanent injury, the referee was proven to have made the right call when he did intervene.

Lots of refs stop a normal match by 1:19 of the video, let alone 1:34 - can't say Nelson was remiss in not stopping it, but he did give Fury benefit of the doubt beyond what many fighters would get.
