It's embarrassing how all the gullible fans are lapping up all the "fake" training videos of Tyson's trainer crying "No Mas" and sparring partners getting "dropped." In none of the footage I've seen does Tyson look to have power & snap in his punches, yes he still has some speed but it's just not there. All the comments on social media make me cringe, it's a circus, do these idiots realise Mike was beyond shot 20 years ago! Lol
What did I tell you, you absolute melts. Anyone with an ounce of boxing knowledge could see from those short clips that they were edited to the max and they still couldn't make Mike look good. You're lucky that Paul soon understood how shot Mike was and took it easy on him, every one associated with the fight should be ashamed of themselves.
I reckon Paul could've ended it Round 2. Mike was slipping a few shots here and there but everything about the fight was disgusting. I said to my missus, who was raving about how good he looked for his age, the man has little snap, no balance and wheezes in almost every interview - I'm just happy he didn't get KTFO.
It was pitiful and at one point i did think that Paul is that much of a rat that he was going to knock Mike out and hurt him, thankfully he does have empathy and eased off Mike. I can't believe how stupid some people are, that goes for idiots outside boxing and those inside boxing, Mike is a shadow of his 2005 washed self, it was disgusting.
Genuinely, Mike is beginning to worry me again. The interview with the little girl, admissions of 3somes and AIDS avoidance, interviews with your cheeks on full display - there are things in life that I didn't know I didn't need to know. Someone needs to keep Mike away from being Mike. I don't want the Youtubians to think he's some tattoo face clown and not understand how absolutely terrifying this guy was in his prime. That said, his prime was nearly 40 years ago - he's got money, another 20Ms is nice but at what cost. You said it brother, I think Paul is a menace and abomination to the sport we love, but even he didn't have the temerity to completely destroy Mike, as he should have been. I'm so furious and confused at what I saw. Why not do another WWE job and make it fun?
I don't think you're telling anyone in here anything they don't know. His legs looks tired and shaky just walking to the ring. There's talk Tyson might get about $20mil so one can hardly blame him for participating. The guy was thanking people for pay days more than a decade ago. This one is a bonanza and he said himself legacy means basically zippo to him. He was happy to be wheeled out.
I haven't followed much but from what i watched today he seemed to be a bit off. I was scared what might come out of his mouth. Do you think he might be getting a bit punchy? Too much whoopy weed? Regressing? I'd bet money that Paul and co were a little concerned as he was getting interviewed.
I watched a replay of the "fight" this morning out of morbid curiosity & found it a bit confusing as to what the attendees were booing at. What were they expecting exactly? Tyson was shot to shyte 20 years ago? My only conclusion is that boxing's in such a dire state now that people will lap up any old vomit served to them. The irony is that it was Tyson that drew me to boxing back in 1986 & it's Tyson that's killed the last fumes of interest I had for this sport / circus.
Yeah, the whole thing stinks. I'm worried for his mental health, his lungs, his grip on reality and I'm worried about the state of boxing in general. I'm gonna watch Jones and Stipe fight it out and it will be an infinitely better fight. I don't know JT, heavy hearted for Mike. It's like he's gone back to the bwoken bwacks, I'm Alexander the Great, punching kids in the nuts, Praise be to Allah version of him. A few years ago, I thought he had reached a place of calm and measuredness, now, I hope this was only all for show and he's laughing at all of us as he counts his money.
I'd forgotten what was bothering me, him biting his glove, often multiple times in seconds. Whatever was going on it's not good.
There was that moment in the first or second round where Paul staggered back and Tyson was going to pounce but then held back. From that moment I did know Tyson was never going to really hurt Paul and the fight was rigged.
