Look, Tyson is 58 years old and did the best he could at that age. Not sure how I would have felt had Jake Paul just light up Tyson and knock him out. Tyson no longer has it. If this was prime Mike or even the Tyson from the 90's, yeah Tyson all the way. I view it as a REAL old man no longer having it, and pretty much the young man jabbing his way to a win. It is what it is I guess.
This Jake Paul wouldn’t beat many guys I met in the gym. He is a level below average. The current state of boxing is bad though, he could best some ranked guys here and there.
Tyson would be more dangerous, but I still can't get that image of retiring after 6 rounds out of my head. Paul has to be there to really put the hurt on 2005 Tyson otherwise he loses.
Money, Tyson wanted money, it’s prize fighting and he’s an old man wanting a payday he called Jake “great” but it doesn’t mean he thinks he’s literally a “great” lol I don’t know Cus would think… probably not highly? But he’d see it for what it was? a business transaction.
Who are we to doubt Mike Tyson when he says a guy is great after being in the ring with him? The Ring needs to do a new Best I Faced with Mike and see how many categories Jake tops.
Tyson did not do that for money only. You could actually see his joy in getting after it in workouts.
For the record, Tyson just tweeted this: This is one of those situations when you lost but still won. I’m grateful for last night. No regrets to get in ring one last time. I almost died in June. Had 8 blood transfusions. Lost half my blood and 25lbs in hospital and had to fight to get healthy to fight so I won. To have my children see me stand toe to toe and finish 8 rounds with a talented fighter half my age in front of a packed Dallas Cowboy stadium is an experience that no man has the right to ask for. Thank you
Nah....2005 Tyson wipes him out easily. Tyson, by then, was done against top level heavies. But even that Tyson was better than most people on the planet Earth in the ring.
