Should Canelo challenge Zurdo for WBA and WBO titles at cruiserweight?
This is a very winnable fight for Canelo I think he can rough up Zurdo on the inside and overpower him, as Zurdo is just a bit like Callum Smith and doesn't know how to properly fight at long range. On the other hand, if you look at a common opponent in Bivol, you will see that at least Canelo won some rounds against him, not more than 3-4, while Ramirez lost a shutout against the Russian light heavyweight.
This could make Canelo a champion at cruiserweight, something he has wanted for years, since rumors of a fight against Makabu.

Not a bad shout actually, it is a winnable fight for Canelo and one where Zurdo would fancy his chances too.

There wasn't too much between their fights with Bivol. Zurdo would have everything to lose in this fight but it'd be huge event if ODLH can make it happen. The build up would be ****ing hilarious.

Not a bad shout. Didn't think of it. This would be Canelo's best chance at cruiserweight. Not saying he would 100% win but he has a shot.

Would actually give Canelo props for this, as long as he goes up to 190 for the fight.

I was left with the impression that Canelo did much better against Bivol than Zurdo, maybe it's because of the fact that is more impressive to see a smaller man (Bivol) outboxing a bigger foe (Zurdo). I probably need to rewatch both fights.

If I were Turki (or any promoter/bankroller) I would agree to this ONLY if both fighters signed on the dotted line for the winner to face Opetaia next (since Don King's tying up Mikaelian, the WBC Cruiser belt-holder).

Zurdo would actually win, he's too big and has a good skillset.

Canelo thought about fighting Makabu when he had a strap at CW why not fight Zurdo for 2 straps instead? I actually like the fight but there can't be any shenigans from Canelos side.

Zurdo would be the happiest man in the world even if he loses to Canelo. Where else could he get such a big paycheck?

El Gordo Zurdo is too big at 190-200. He needs to fight Opatia and Canelo needs Benevidez. End of discussion.

This is winnable for Canelo due to his chin and power despite his small size. But he gets destroyed by Opetaia, both of them do

Hopefully Turki does the right thing and makes Zurdo Opetaia next and if Canelo wants a shot at the cruiserweight crown he can fight the winner and that will be Opetaia.

You are totally misunderstanding Canelo's agenda if you even suggesting this fight as a possibility. He is looking for lucrative lay up fights, not testing himself. He will fighting eubank jnr, or charlo next May, or maybe Crawford.
