How is it any better than Dubois beating Hrgovic? Hrgovic was undefeated with a win over a guy who subsequently knocked Wilder out.

Hype aside there's little to suggest Wilder was ever better than Hrgovic, maybe not even Miller.

Fury's should have fought more guys ranked in the top 10 period. If not AJ, Parker, or Zhang, or Kabayel, or Hrgovic, or Bakole, etc. Plenty of guys to choose from. If he can't get a fight with Joshua, fight someone else.

Dubois already has a strong case for having a better career than Wilder and beating Wilder is Fury's main claim to fame.

What Wilder win matches Dubois AJ demolition? Or even the Hrgovic win?

Lol, beating a past prime version of any fighter is not “like” beating the prime version.

It’s also arguable that even if Usyk and Fury were on par in terms of sheer physical deterioration, said deterioration would impact on Usyk’s effective game more so - given the greater work rate he has needed and displayed when fighting against the bigger boys.

An old wlad, who had only one fight after, a one trick pony who can’t box to save his life, and who again? Anyways no need to reply but you see where this leads, you can question the resumes to the current top but suggesting an automatic leapfrog over someone that has just almost stopped you, who actually became undisputed in a fifth of the fights at HW …. Not sure I’m fully on board with that. Just my personal opinion

Tbh it would depend on how Fury beats Usyk (if he does, that is).

I guess the main argument is Usyks lack of heavyweight fights. Despite the quality of the opponents Usyk has only faced 5 heavyweights. Without more depth and exposure to other fighters it's hard to cement him being the clear number 1 IF Fury beats him in the rematch in a dominant fashion.

Of course Usyk remains the clear favorite, and if he wins none of this matters. Would be nice to see him fight some different fighters though.

agree the manner of the win could be a factor. Fury had every physical advantage and will still do in December. I won’t begrudge usyk retiring after this though, name any of those you call great from yesteryears and count how many were having tough fights at 38 against folks having every physical advantage. Maybe foreman? Also isn’t his lack of heavyweight fights simply down to going straight for the titles and boxing politics? Anyways hope it’s a good fight.

except he has ducked everyone who wasn't ancient or a bum his entire career. he ducked ustinov, then whined to the media about ustinov showing up in shape. he claimed it was a conspiracy by the klitschko's, haye, and chisora to get rid of him. most pathetic thing i've ever heard of.

Its hilarious watching these Usyk fans at work on ESB, or are they just disguised Joshua fanboys deeply consumed with irrational hatred?

Everything you see is Fury fans giving Usyk his due, confessing hes great and deservedly won the 1st fight.

Then in return, all you see is the Usyk / Joshua fans with sand in the their vaginas if Fury gets an ounce of credit about anything, its utterly bizarre how uptight they get about this :ibutt

Then they try and make out that a consummate professional like Usyk is more shot than a suicidal alcoholic drug addict that had to lose 10 stones to fight again :duh

And now they think that a 14 stone Usyk where he is physically dominant over fellow cruiserweights, should move up to heavyweight and still be pulling off the exact same **** he did at cruiserweight and because he doesnt he is somehow shot :clapclap:

That's right, Usyk puts on over 20lbs

Suddenly fights against opponents who are between 30-50lbs heavier than him

Hit him way heavier than any cruiserweight he every fought

Lay their enormous 30 -50lb weight on him to drain him way more than any cruiserweight

And because Usyk is not jumping around like the 200lb Usyk dominating like he was against the cruiserweights he physically dominated, they suddenly think Usyk is in decline whilst knocking up by a distance the 4 best victories of his entire career ( Joshua Joshua Dubois Fury ) :meparto:

You could have put Usyk up to cruiserweight as a 31 year old and he would have still had the same impacts as fighting at heavyweight :deal:

If his exact 2nd fight heavyweight v Chisora happened next, they would all be saying how shot he was, yet his next 2 fights v Joshua was apparently his peak, I literally can't decide if these deluded fans are genuine Usyk fans or just bitter, butthurt Joshua fans spitting vitriol

    Giving Usyk his due? Lol.

Sure, simply tick the purportedly respectful boxes, saying Olek is a great fighter and the better man won before proceeding into myriad excuses to argue why Fury could’ve done so much better on the night if not for this, that and the other……

Even viewed in the frame of and relative to his HW career, Usyk has slowed and doesn’t have the same indefatigable stamina…..he’s adjusted his game accordingly - boxing IQ compensating for his own measure of deterioration.

Whose to say Breidis doesn't beat Fury especially the version Usyk fought?

Lerena is a former cruiserweight and he dropped Dubois 3 times and did better than Joshua

And Gassiev hits harder than many heavyweights despite being a cruiserweight

Keyword being "former". It's a different game at heavyweight.

It's amazing how many people ignore the impact extra weight has on speed.
