Juan Laporte vs. Leo Cruz in 1983

    I'm not sure the smaller Cruz could afford to trade with Laporte in 1983 but he stands a chance of outworking him on the way to surprise decision. However, Laporte only needs one punch to wipe out the points deficit. Personally, I favour Laporte.

    I just wonder why this wasnt made in Puerto Rico. It would have packed Roberto Clemente Coliseum what with Puerto Ricans and the strong Dominican presence.

    Plus if Laporte wins, you have Laporte-Gomez and if Cruz wins, you have Cruz-Gomez 2 , both of which pack the coliseum as well so promoters had gold right there!
