Don't think ticket sales have gone good. They only went on sale couple weeks ago, seems all a **** show to be honest

It's been a very Mid year for No Limit, I have to say.

Meanwhile other fighters in this country are achieving big and somehow out in the cold regarding mainstream coverage.

The other fighters are headlining on DAZN. I don't quite get what's the impediment to watching them fight. Instead of blaming No Limit, shouldn't their own promoters take some responsibility for the profile those fighters have? I mean, DAZN's an international platform, isn't it?

I think there are a handful of guys capable of headlining shows in this country. Both Tszyu's have done it on Main Event. Sam Goodman has done it with No Limit & presumably the intention will be for Callum Peters to do it. Initially on regular Foxtel.

Tasman Fighters / Eddie Hearn have Jai Opetaia, Justis Huni & Conor Wallace who are all capable of headlining shows & have done so on DAZN.

Liam Paro has headlined on DAZN and George Kambosos has headlined on Main Event.

We've also seen Paulo Aokuso headline on Channel Nein / Stan last night & Alex Winwood on 7 Plus.

The only other guy out there who I would consider should be headlining shows on Australian television is Teremoana who we know has signed with Eddie Hearn with the intention of fighting in the UK.

That's the Australian boxing television landscape. Main Event has attracted the biggest audiences presumably b/c the Tszyu's have been the most popular fighters in the country.

Some of the other lads could do with a bit of media training in order to broaden their appeal from hard core boxing fans (i.e. us) to mainstream sports fans (where the money is).

The problem boils down to No Limit Boxing acting as the exclusive supplier of Australian boxing to Foxtel and Kayo Sports. This places them near exclusive coverage with fox sports news who protects its product like a cartel and direct a cess with most mainstream papers. We can argue the virtues of exclusivity agreements but the old media establishment is doing no justice to Opetaia, Nicholson, Paro, Huni. The sport is not being covered properly it lets down the sport and the average Australian sports fan who expects quality information.

I suppose you are right pointing out Eddie Hearns route gains you more international recognition, likely better money too but the battle in trying to gain national traction stinks let's down the casual punter who are misguided in the latest developments in our sport.

The public is far more likely discussing Curtis Scotts prospects than Teremoanas right now. Young female fighters think Jazzy Parr (I'm a supporter) more or less holds the Aussie women's crown when you have invisible Skye Nicholson who is more or less already there.

I'm just beating my head against a brick wall, don't mind me.

I think there's a lot of petty jealousy towards No Limit & it's getting boring listening to people whinge about them (present company excepted of course - I enjoy reading your posts @thehook13). The views you have expressed are also shared by plenty of others but I think that narrative is starting to wear thin. There are enough television platforms out there for the non-No Limit aligned fighters to get good coverage. Blaming No Limit for the fact that they aren't is lame. It's not No Limit's job to promote other people's fighters.

Justis Huni v Shaun Potgieter 10-1 (7) (South African H/W champ) on the Jai Opetaia world title show on 8 January. Huni also fights Argentinian Leandro Daniel Robutti 11-6 (8) on 11 December.

Monopolies are never good for the sport. Check Sky Sports in the UK for clarification. Fox Sports are heading down a similar, and dangerous path, for the so called “Home of Boxing” in this country.
