Hope Breidis gets in the HOF, CW is too overlooked by them. He was a great fighter. Reminds me a lot of peak Kessler.

Yeah, I pretty much agree. He was definitely stunned and held on a little too long to buy time. But he was far from on the verge of getting knocked the **** out. The fact that that weak example, of all the matches I've seen of his that's the only time I remember being vaguely hurt, stands as a testament to just how goddamn great his chin really is.

Yeah, he definitely felt the shot but he wasn't in any danger of being dropped or knocked out.

Absolutely. CW is a puncher's division too and the fact he was never hurt by Wlad in sparring after being in camp with him numerous times suggests his chin would've held up at HW too. Wlad used to go hard in sparring

He probably won't (Haye didn't get in despite having nationality advantage, winning a title at HW and like Haye, Briedis never touched the P4P list), even though he's good enough as a 3x cruiser titlist and Ring champion. His fight with Usyk was the highest quality in the history of the weight class imo.

Wins over Charr (KO5), Huck, Perez, Glowacki (KO3), Dorticos

Gifted the win over Gevor (should have been a massive upset loss)

Losses to Usyk, Opetaia x2 (though he's come closest to beating them as of November 2024)

Definitely deserves to be in the hall of fame.

I have a feeling Michalczewski gets in this year. I know Dan Rafael has voted for him the last few years out and he just missed making it last year. This year, Manny Pacquiao is new to the ballot and will be in for sure. Outside of Manny, I think he has a good shot since it seems like a but of a watered down year. I think Kessler might make it as well especially since Froch just got in.

Regarding the subject at hand, Breidis was/is tougher than a two dollar steak and despite his lack of crossover popularity, the writers that vote for the hall of fame are all hard-core boxing folks and Breidis will get in eventually because of how respected his is in our world. He was a three time champ that gave one of the greatest pound for pound fighter's ever his roughest fight. If Froch made it, Breidis will eventually.

Guy needs to be on ***** street for me to consider him hurt. @Serge knows about that street because he lives on it.

I think he was stunned at least once against Opetaia in their first fight. I vaguely recall him appearing rattled one time against...Duradola, I wanna say? In both cases, he recovered well and quickly. Clearly an incredible chin, either way.

I'll smack you back to Roman times so you'd actually have to take a bath more than once a year. If that!

I remember Opetaia absolutely cracked him and busted his nose in the rematch and Briedis just gobbled it up.
