Most people seem to think he was just 230 pounds of fat, and in fairness he is kinda built like Oz from the new Penguin show.
Still though, Tony was able to go into deep waters in numerous fights which is more than you can say for other fatties. How much of Galento was muscle? Did he have noteworthy strength?

There's dozens of threads about this already going back decades.

You could choose one at random and save us the trouble of another Galento eyesore hogging space at the top of page 1 for the next week.

He was obviously very strong naturally, country strong as opposed to gym strong. That and his toughness were about all he had in his toolbox.

Galento would’ve had a fair amount of muscle - just simply not so well defined or pronounced due to the layer of fat atop that muscle. I’ve known a lot guys built like him and they were as strong AF.

Some things to consider, for the layperson, are:

*The name 'Galento' is actually just an Italicized version of the name 'Canelo,' which is ancient Roman Hispanish for "Five-foot-eightish husky feline bull.' Underneath there, it seems likely that he had a Canelo build-muscular and sturdy, capable of fighting at 175 pounds, fit. But with heavyweight eating.

    *Galento is of Roman descent.

*Vomitoriums were real, even if they were also a myth.

*The American Diabetes Association was established in 1939. When Galento would've been about nineteen, leaving his sexual peak and entering his plan to go against the establishment and grow into the man he would truly become.

*The American Diabetes Association was partly founded by Herman Otto Mosenthal, of Hebrew descent.

*Based on these facts and figures, it is rational to assume that Mosenthal's ancient ancestor was Mordechai Ben Mordechai, or one of his brothers in arms, and legs, and that Galento's ancient ancestor was Gaeitcus Mencuminnius Disruptus, of the fourteenth legion, or some other Roman legionary near him, and that these two ancient men faced each other during the siege of Masada, forming an ancient blood feud that both could've and should've lasted into the 1939th year from the 72nd or 73rd, AD, ACE, ca..

Is any of this a coincidence? Yes. But might it not be? Maybe. Something to think about.

I like a poster who doesn’t mince his words.

Galento was Two Tons of fat, not one ounce of muscle. A P-I-G pig whose fat face someone should’ve slapped.

He ate because he was fat, and he became fatter because he ate.

    A vicious, self defeating cycle.

If only he loved and respected himself more -he may well have gone on to become an ATG - an Acceptably Trim Galento. :D
