Sounds like you have a lot of personal grievances over things a professional athlete did almost 30 years ago. Maybe it's time to let them go.

i don't need to "let go" of anything. Just expressing an opinion on a sports forum as all of us sports fans do.

Lewis is a coward. He knows he could never have beaten Vitali legitimately. Vitali proved he was the stronger, better man.

Vitali took the fight on 2 weeks notice, and still gave Lewis a clear beating. Imagine him with a full camp for the rematch.

For all the talk of Lewis apparently avoiding Vitali why didn't Vitali demand a rematch vs Byrd ? Who beat him with a weeks notice in his backyard ?

Yeah yeah, perfectly normal to be so bitter over what a athlete did or didn't do back in the 1990's.... Perfectly normal stuff folks, nothing to see here.

    PS TKO 6.

Dude Lennox was the ***** for not rematching Vitali at the end of a long career in a rematch of a fight he already won! Vitali wanted to continue!!!!! (Not just against blown up super middleweight Chris Byrd)

Vitali fought later that same year against Kirk Johnson, Lewis never again so I think he was the one more impacted from the fight.

Lewis was dead on his stool after round 6. He had absolutely nothing left.

The injuries that forced Vitali to retire for the first time in 2004 had nothing to with the Lewis fight.

They will also say "Vitali dominated Byrd and the shoulder injury was a fluke".

But in reality it was a very competitive fight only 8 punches separated them overall and Byrd landed over 40 percent of his punches compared to only 26 percent for Vitali. And I think Byrd's defence making Vitali punch at awkward angles and making him miss so many punches should also be credited for instigating the injury to Vitali's shoulder.

Byrd literally had 0 preparation vs Vitali and basically beat a fighter in his backyard who was twice the size of him yet Vitali didn't clamour for a rematch i wonder why.

Lederman’s card is Irrelevant we have the actual judges scorecards. We won’t ever know because there was no rematch.

I admire Lewis for retiring at the right time with his health intact and his legacy not ruined when you see Holyfield next to Lewis during the Tyson vs Paul event for example. You see 1 fighter totally coherent the other obviously punch drunk who's the smart one ? I know what fighter I'd rather be.

Lewis ain't Vitali who quit on his stool against Byrd, Vitali also retired instead of facing Rahman so... Seems like a projection to me.

He was after a full camp. He was supposed fight on the same card as Lewis, lol.

Yeah, Holyfield Lewis I Harold Lederman scorecard is irrelevant as well, but it reflects what happened in the fight much better than the judges scorecards.

Come one, come all, for only a single DOLLAR you too can see misdirection, outright false claims and levels of delusion never before heard of, for when you stare into the mind of the average boxing fan, it stares back!

Lennox Lewis fought just ONE ex Soviet Union fighter in his whole career and look what happened, he got his ass beat and ducked the rematch because he knew he couldn't win.

He's very lucky he was in a era where the Soviet Union countries weren't able to turn pro.

Almost all of Lennox Lewis's losses in the amateurs were to Soviet Union/Eastern Europe guys. He was knocked out by Valery Abadzhyan.
And has loses to Alexander Miroshnichenko, Vyacheslav Yakovlev, Petar Stoimenov, Ladislav Husarik.
