Unfortunately, Haye has talked so much **** no one is going to be happy with his opponent.

If I was Haye, I would blitz Rahman or Maskaev. Then get one more fight in and then cash in against Wlad.

I agree with everything you wrote except I'm not writing off Vitali yet. He has a huge chance to make history with this fight so I think he's going to show up 100% or close to it, & a determined & healty Vitali spells D-O-O-M for Peter...............

It is absurd to say the least. You're right too, if Haye didn't talk so much **** then no one would complain about him fighting 2 over-the-hill chinny has-beens.

Bernard Hopkins wanted Maskaev when he was MW champ...Haye has a lot of credible guys calling his name...but he only wants Maskaev or Rahman...he's showing that he has no confidence in his ability to gain a credible win.

Based on Barrett's & Rahman's recent fights.............not their past history. Rahman blatantly QUIT against Toney in his last fight & he stunk up the joint in his fight before that. Oleg is coming off a TKO loss in which he looked like he was fighting with lead boots on. Barrett is on a winning streak including some good looking KO's.

Boxing a very much a "what have you done for me lately" type sport.

    You're absolutely correct :good

The bottom line is Barrett has been looking good & if Haye can beat or even KO him he WILL gain credibility.

I don't think Haye can beat Barrett though, Joe Mesi couldn't KO him with his best punch. Many actually had Barrett wining that fight too.

Monte is right. Haye is nobody and is running from anyone who could upset him before he gets beat by Wladimir.

Barret is not as washed up as oleg or hasim are but if Haye wants to impress fight Shannon Briggs, Monte Barret, Sergei Liahovich (I know I murdered his name) or maybe Lamon Brewster AKA someone somewhat fresh and also a sizable Heavyweights. You get the point.

I am not bitting on this Hype sorrounding Haye, sorry!!!

If he got Ko'd in the CW division he will get KO'd in the HW division.

I like Haye. I think he's an exciting fighter who can be a real threat at heavyweight but he has to serve his apprenticeship before getting a fight with Wladimir. He has to come into his own as a heavyweight.

Even Holyfield had to fight 6 times as a heavyweight before getting his title shot and people were thinking that he could skip it all and go right to Tyson before he ever laced them up over 190. It just doesn't work that way. Haye beating alot of the heavyweights that are out there is only speculation right now. He needs to beat someone legit or halfway legit before he can fight the best and I'm talking about for his own good as a fighter. He's already brimming with confidence but that can be his undoing. Evander needed the Dokes fight to be able to say to really say to himself "I can do this." Haye needs to beat somebody who can give him a fight so he can say the same thing cuz otherwise he'll walk right into a buzzsaw. In the end it might not even matter cuz u can get all the schooling in the world but it can't prepare you for a Wladimir Klitschko right hand. We'll just have to wait and see.

How about if he didn't get KO'd in the CW division, but did get stopped on his feet earlier in his career when he completely gassed in a fight which basically taught him how to be a professional fighter and stop acting like an amateur?

That would be a slightly different matter, no?

Oh wait, that's what actually happened....

I hate myself for using this word but **** it, Monte Barret is BUM. He is an idiot lookin for a payday. He has no heart, no class and cant back up what he says. Which coeincadently is why this is all very, very funny.

So, why would Haye take that risk?

Maskaev and Rahman are shot fighter, Rahman was getting stopped by Toney and leaned on the eye injury to avoid getting KO"D.....Barrett has showed up in shape and Monte should lose to Haye if David is anything close to what he chirps but Monte has heart decent power and skills...I think that is a good 1st step up fight for Haye and he cant get past BARRETT HE SAVED US ALL TIME. REMEMBER VLAD DOMINATED BARRETT WITH 7 kd'S AND A BRUTAL FINISH
