Alright convince me that Rocky Marciano would lose to both Ali and Frazier and I'll try and convince you that Rocky would beat the two of them.

I’m not, personally, strongly convinced of any outcome.

Marciano would be one of Ali’s absolute hardest nights among the greats, & a fight between he & Frazier is coin toss territory if ever I saw it.

If you’re suggesting he’s a heavy favourite over both I’d argue strongly against that.

You've saw all the anti Marciano threads on here. May as well Jump towards the pro Marciano camp, Always play in the camp of the underdog :2guns:

I'd have him as the underdog against Ali and the slight Favourite over Frazier.

Both stop him. You don't run a Haflinger against Thoroughbreds. If you can't spot the difference perhaps tennis is a better sport to follow.

I'd favor both against Rocky. Ali would have an easier night then Joe, which would come down to styles.

Apparently Ali is one who can’t spot the difference.

Here's my first argument What did Frazier do that was actually better than Marciano in fact I'd argue that Marciano did almost EVERYTHING better than Joe, Marciano was a genuine two fisted puncher, Frazier had one of the best left hooks in boxing but overall Marciano was the superior puncher due to the fact that both of his fists could knock a man out. Then we have stamina which is honestly irrelevant as both were renowned for Stamina, In terms of Chin I'd say both had granite chins. Foreman may have splattered Frazier, However I honestly think he'd do the same to Marciano. However for people denigrating Marciano for going life and death with 38 year old Walcott, Foreman for all his vaunted power fought 35 year old former light heavyweight contender Gregorio Peralta, Who went 10 rounds with George twice. Peralta weighed 197lbs for fight 1 and 196lbs for fight 2. Though foreman was admittedly Green he was still a devastating puncher. It'd be interesting to throw that version of Foreman in against Joe Walcott of the Rocky fight actually. But this brings me to my next point... Rocky had a better resume than Frazier outside of the ali win. :flamethrower2:

Frazier was bigger, faster, more precise, & more proven against better opposition.

    Frazier was bigger
While true I think this would be a hinderance in a fight between the two, Since it'd be an infight Marciano would have an advantage in the actual fight. Frazier isn't the type to deviate from his fighting style.
    Faster
I don't think the speed gap is that much to be much of an advantage in this fight
    more precise
I'd make the Argument that the fighters that Rocky fought were much harder to hit than the ones frazier fought.
    More proven against better opposition
Outside of Ali, Who would you pick in Frazier's resume to beat the Joe Walcott that Rocky Fought in the first fight? with similar conditions. This would include getting blinded mid fight.

I’d pick Frazier to do it easier than Marciano did. & I think you’re mistaken to call Frazier a one-handed fighter. His knockout punch was his left, yes, but he had a brutal two-fisted body attack. You don’t get Frazier’s results with one hand.

Prime Quarry is a better win than old Walcott. Bonavena in only your twelveth fight is a better win than old Walcott. Ellis is a better win than old Louis. Old Charles & Moore are good, but not great, wins. I don’t really see any argument for Marciano having beaten better opposition.

Marciano is an ATG, and he deserves all the accolades he
    receives.
But he wouldn't survive Ali or Frazier .
His size limitations and lack of great
athleticism would be his undoing against
    them.

Ali dances around, avoids Marciano's short combinations, keeps him at bay with jabs, and occasionally clinches (Prime Ali wins by decision). Marciano defeated opponents like Jersey Joe Walcott and Ezzard Charles, but none of them could dance for 15 rounds. As for why Frazier would win, it's because his pressure was more refined. Frazier had better defense, was more effective at slipping punches, and was faster. His left hook would cause Marciano trouble in close quarters. Rocky often left himself open, which would give Frazier plenty of opportunities. And of course, size matters. Marciano weighed around 185 lbs, whereas Prime Ali and Frazier were around 205–220 lbs. With his shorter reach, Marciano would have to fight in the mid-range, which would be tough against Ali and risky against Frazier, but you can never completely count Rocky out.

I honestly don't think so, I think Frazier would struggle mightily with Walcott, He would win but I think he'd have to weather some unsavory moments to win the fight. Walcott packed a punch and could definitely hit. So I think he'd actually score a knockdown before Joe eventually wears him down. It's just would Frazier be able to simulate the one punch knockout against walcott like Marciano did or would it be more of a sustained beating? Frazier probably wins 9/10.
As for each of their Resumes.
I think differently "Old" charles wasn't much older than Rocky when he fought him and was one of the greatest boxers of all time. I'd say that qualifies as a great win. In fact I think Charles from the first Marciano fight would handily beat Quarry, Ellis and Bonavena That fought Frazier. He was simply a different class of boxer, I'd Pick Frazier to beat him though. I'd argue old Walcott is a better win than Quarry mainly cause Quarry fought Frazier's fight. Maybe I'm stretching a bit here but wouldn't the first bonavena fight be similar to Marciano's fight with Layne? Bonavena was obviously the better of the two but Layne was still a strong customer with a great chin before Marciano cracked it. I think Marciano has an underrated resume.
