    I'm not even convinced Vitali would beat Byrd in a rematch if he had a full training camp.

    I think fighters like Tyson, Holyfield, Ali, Holmes, would beat him for certain.

    I always thought Fitz would do better than Sam against elite superheavys due to his height and awkwardness combined with that ridiculous power both of them had, how do you see Sam vs. Vitali going considering tall jabbers troubled Langford throughout his career?

    Langford was so short hat he could force his opponents to work downward, while circling around them and forcing them to reset.

    If I’m trying for the smallest possible I’ll go with Ezzard Charles… let him gain some weight and be comfy at 190lbs but keep the youth of his LHW days and it’d be an interesting conversation between one of the greatest boxers of all time and just about peak physicality.

    Yes! Punching down shortens your reach, If you circle out to your right and keep your weight back he could force Vitali to step in to be countered.

    Pure wishful thinking. I rate Sam as a Top 3 LB4LB guy but he would have no chance against VItali, who would yo-yo into a sustained beating. One of Vitali's greatest attributes was his control and measure of distance. He would always be an inch beyond Sam's reach.
