He’s got a real solid following. Look at his last fight. Stadium packed, chanting his name during the fight and after he’d won. Anyone who can pack stadiums will make some serious coin, athlete, musician, comedian, whatever.

Derek Chisora is a Goat gatekeeper not a Goat journeyman.
His wins over Pulev, Washington and Joyce (at the age of 40) show that Derek "War" Chisora is a gatekeeper, not a journeyman:
Also, the list of boxers with whom Derek fought is impressive (that's why he deserves the nickname "War"):
    - Fury x 3
    - Parker x 2
    - Kubrat Pulev x 2
    - Agit Kabael
    - Oleksandr Usyk
    - Dillian White x 2
    - David Haye
    - Vitali Klitschko
    - Robert Helenius
    - ...
That's why Derek "War" Chisora is the GOAT gatekeeper.

it’s funny there’s a Holyfield thread going on because of a similarity they have. Who did Chisora dodge? When did he ever do anything in a ring except try with every scrap of everything he had? When did he ever show fear of an opponent?

is he ATG material? Nope. But does he have an ATG warrior spirit? You bet your ass he does.

There's no use listing countless big fights he's been in, when he loses every single one. He is a journeyman with GOAT marketing. A can being passed around by fighters with names, because Chisora has Frank Warren giving him a name. British level.

    Chisora defeated Pulev and Joyce.
In the example of Usyk, we see that first goes Witherspoon (journeyman), then Chisora (gatekeeper), then AJ and Fury.

Two mid tier wins puts you on that level, if that's all you have. To be a gatekeeper you need to have a history of actually winning at that level consistently, then a contender gets up to that level without the losses. Then you have the top/championship tier above.

Certainly a high level journeyman/gatekeeper just as Chisora is that’s why I posted Shavers in this thread, and imo a better journeyman/gatekeeper than Chisora .

Before I give an honest attempt at an answer, I have to make a clarification with themostoverrated. Did you mean to type 'Deepak Chopra?' I know auto-correct has hit me a few times on this one.

Look up the definition of journeyman. Shavers was not one.

Nah I think you’re selling ‘the drunken master’ short there, he was robbed more than any other fighter in boxing history and he was a world champion, he had a solid jaw and he liked to take a shot.
He took the robberies pretty well because he wasn’t interested in titles he just loved a scrap.
Gatekeepers don’t win titles, ok he only won one but I think that completely eliminates him from being a gatekeeper.
He lost a close decision against ward in the fight of the year, I have watched it a few times and I still can’t be sure one way or the other.
His record on paper looks like that of the ultimate gatekeeper but the reality is far from that.
For me it’s got to be Povetkin, never won a proper title, but he twice challenged for the
Unified heavyweight championship in my opinion that makes him the ultimate gatekeeper of all time

Don’t need to look it up this thread is about Chisora being labelled as the greatest journeyman of all time so if Chisora falls into that category then so can Shavers. Both fighters hovered around the top ten for years, both fighters records are stacked and both lost the biggest fights of their careers and both never won a World title. Shavers was an average boxer with poor stamina but was blessed with monster power so he always had a punchers chance .

You clearly don't know what a journeyman is and I'm not going to waste my time trying to explain it to you.

He's of the toughest gatekeepers/journeymen or whatever you consider him and one of the greatest warriors in recent memory
