Did Tyson Fury's tactics against Oleksandr Usyk cross the line?

Yes, I saw this last night. Some valid observations there imo - though some will say the stepping on the foot is accidental and somewhat common between a conventional stance vs that of a southpaw - Fury’s stepping still appeared a bit deliberate for mine - and I don’t know if there are any equal and opposite examples of Usyk doing same during that particular fight.

I thought Fury would punch to the belt line after seeing the Dubois fight.

I noticed the borderline and lower shots during the fight.

I would say there was a good chance of Fury banking on the perception that Usyk falsely cries foul on otherwise legit body shots - therefore giving Fury a chance to get away with some low shots - which he did - after one blatant low shot the ref stepped in but did nothing - not even a warning.

There was a LOT wrong with that ref’s handling of the fight, as has already been well proven.

Tyson Fury is a man without honor or decency - he will do anything to win, even dirty illegal tactics.

He knows old Fish Eyes has the Queensberry referees in his pocket, so they will let him get away with anything.

Could somebody even have the nickname 'Gypsy King' if they didn’t try anything illegal in the ring?

As a southpaw myself it's almost inevitable you'll wind up stepping on each other's toes. It comes with the territory.

Their first fight was pretty clean imo, and I expect it'll be similar in the rematch.

This is all desperate propaganda from Fury haters, as usual. The laughable thing is that Fury has typically fought far cleaner in his career than fake nice-guy heroes like Wlad and Lewis etc., and other illegal big-man grapplers, yet he is lumped with all these dirty-fighter charges.

Other fan favs like Chisora and Whyte are super dirty but nobody cares. Mike Tyson openly talked about his dirty ways including elbow wrenching etc. and he's cool too. Wallin raked Fury's eye for half a fight but that's just 'doing what it takes to win'.

In fights accidental head clashes and low blows can happen. Fury doesn't have a pattern of this stuff like some fighters. The worst that can be said about Fury is that in a couple of fights he mauled and leaned. And together it was still nothing compared to one round of Wlad v Povetkin.

Fury is actually far cleaner than he needs to be with his size. He's a mobile boxer typically, not a pressure fighter or jab and grabber so he's going to fight cleaner than average just due to style alone, because he's trying to be in and out and difficult to hit.

Fury is an excellent cheater I am not allowed to brag on because Fury fans ... I guess ... want everyone to believe Tyson's a good boy who really really cares quite a lot about rules and authorities.

Consistent issues none of which follow him well.

I'm a big fan of Dre and Hop too, but when I talk about their ability to skirt rules their fans tend to agree and share my admiration of a good rule skater.

Fury fans push this cognitive dissonance ... Fury no cheat, Wilder crazy ... Bro open hand strikes are illegal regardless ... Yeah but no egg weight doe so fury no cheat. commission get gloves doe. Get me? They just never accept it. When you force it, hammer the toe stepping or open hand smacks a lot, they say oh everyone does that. Delusional ass ****s who ****** an honest man's ability to brag on another man's real skill set.

As an Ali mimic Tyson is ****. Sneaking them elbows in though. Makes him a bit Bowe and a bit dirty.

You should be the last one complaining about the propaganda, when you still say AJ ducked Fury even tho he signed the contract to fight him.

Nah, the harrassment will continue until he stops spreading false propaganda. And when one propagandist calling out another one, I'm calling them out for being hypocrits.

go back and watch Usyk’s fight against Beterbiev in the Olympics. Beterbiev hurt him enough with a body shot that he was given a standing count.

just saying. Proper strategy. Usyk has a good chin but doesn’t seem that durable to the body.

side note, it’s funny watching him in a fight where he’s the big guy. He looks huge next to Beterbiev.
