He's definitely what most HW champions throughout history have always been like. A guy who knows how to fight dirty and uses it when he thinks he can get away with it.

He punched and grabbed often in his rematches v Wilder.

That might be true to an extent Boxed, but the HW Champions in question have all been duly called out for their dirty tactics - Ali, Marciano etc., included.

I’ve said it many times before but Ali’s express punch/clutch tactics in the 2nd Frazier fight were appalling in their own right - and the ref
Perez not duly policing same was equally appalling at the least.

When Ali was not permitted to do same in Manila by ref Padilla, we all can see what a difference it made.

And imo, (and if anyone disagrees, go for it), Fury’s illegal tactics are heavily contrasted against one of the cleanest fighters in the game = Usyk, the so called “midget” that Fury dismissed for so long but still somehow needed to fight dirty against.

As to “most” HWs throughout history, I would nominate Joe Louis as at least one champ who didn’t resort to illegal tactics - Floyd Patterson also. By and large, Joe Frazier too.

Perhaps in the minority but to duly credit the notably clean fighters, the dirty tactics of other Champs should be duly highlighted.

Yes, but we got it right.

You, however, have made a goddamn fool of yourself, which is why you are saying this nonsense:

Fury is a master of "intentional-unintentional" fouls. He puts himself in a position where there's plausible deniability...much of the time. Sometimes it's flagrant and the ref simply does nothing such as when he grabbed and leaned on Wilder constantly in the 2nd fight. Good game plan that exploited many holes in Wilder's defenses, terrible ref.

The palm strikes, holding and hitting such as against Cunningham, loose glove flicker jab, and the recent foot stomp of the Usyk fight are but a few of his questionable/outright illegal tactics. One of the main reasons Fury can pull this off is that, like a good disingenuous fouler, he only uses these tactics sparingly and never uses all of them in one fight. For much of a round he'll actually box clean and then may sprinkle a combo with an innocuous elbow or leans a little too much when the fighters get tied up. He's also well aware of where the ref is and how to use his gangly yet blubbery Dr. Robotnik body to his advantage for good leverage on smaller fighters.

As for the rematch, I don't think Fury would risk being DQ'd in a do or die fight of this caliber. His entire legacy and potential future mega paydays with other fighters such as Dubois/Zhang/Parker are on the line. Fury may get rough and sneak something here and there while imposing his size on the Ukrainian, but I can't imagine him going for too many overtly dirty tricks when the entire boxing world will tune in. I do think he'll go for the body again regardless of where the waistline on the shorts is. Usyk does seem to have issues with enduring those, and it's one of the only way to slow down his energizer bunny style.

Dr. Robotnik is probably the best analogy I've seen used to describe Fury's physique so far

I tried making Fury in the create a boxer mode in fight night champion, but couldn't get the Dr. Robotnik proportions right. You can't adjust the limb or torso sizes, only the overall body type and height.
