    I didn't follow Valdez's career closely but I am amazed he amassed the number of wins that he did, given his lack of size. He seemed so much smaller than Navarette, and lacking real power.

    What was Valdez and his camp thinking going for this fight? The first was already bad enough, what did they expect to fill the significant gap?

    That's Monday morning quarterbacking. Valdez believed that he lost the first fight due to going for the KO, as he explained.

    He felt he could outbox El Vaquero by fighting a disciplined fight. Maybe not a smart move on his part but no guts no glory.
