Size is probably too big an issue, big enough good enough different enough but Tunney is a world apart as a boxer and if Tunney was the size of Ali he’d never lose.
I think Usyk would be simply too big and fast for starters. But Usyk also doesn't attack in straight lines he's always trying to create angles and to disrupt whatever the opponent is doing. A jabber like Tunney would ideally like to have his target in front of him and coming directly towards him. Usyk is basically a bigger fighter fighting like a smaller fighter and I'm not sure it would work out well for Tunney.
Honestly I think Usyk is so overrated it's not even funny and I'm half Ukrainian so theirs no extra sentiment. Tunney would do just fine here IMO. He's more than capable of taking Usyk
I might favor Usyk. But, Tunney would be a live dog in this fight. Usyk seems to have more problems with speed and skill, than size. Tunney would bring skill, conditioning , and, a disciplined fight plan against Usyk. It would be a chess match.
Easy fight for Usyk Tunney is good for his time but a skilled mobile southpaw like Usyk would be a nightmare for him
Oh yes there a world apart Usyk is an amateur fighting as a pro, Tunney is a pro amongst pro’s I don’t think Usyk would lose but only because he’s 210-225lbs or whatever, Tunney would savage him if they were the same size.
Make Tunney still function at 6ft3 215lbs he never loses at heavyweight. One of the greatest boxers of all time, zero doubt in my mind.
Tunney wouldn't even step into the ring against a brother. He was a tap-tap, static, on the line fighter who was as simple as Simon. Usyk got swivel in his hips, his angles, ain't afraid of nobody. A 160 pound Usyk makes Tunney look like the prima donna he was.
Nah you need to study up Seamus ya arrogance is blinding you’re wrong on multiple fronts other then Tunney drawing the colour line… Tunney was simply one of the best specimens in boxing and your impression seems to just be drawn from the JD fights. Usyk is an amateur fighting for pro money Tunney was not he was a real professional fighter.
Read and studied more about that dude than most. I find him simple. Light feet. A tapper. A guy who throws at the target, not through it. A poor man's Maske.
Oh stop it you know I learnt a lot from you in the old forums as a teen lurking… but now you're a parody. Watch Tunney jab if you think he threw “at” people look how bent his arm was at touch down… but you already knew that.
