Foreman gets rocked early maybe dropped but then finishes off Williams within 4 rounds exciting whilst it lasts but Foreman is the heavy favourite here.

Lands a huge left, knocks him down, has him on ***** street for a moment, Foreman comes back and batters him.

Williams hit hard and George was hittable but he had the better chin so he should win.

I want to post in this thread sooo badly, but I am not allowed to do humor in Classic, so I am keeping my mouth zipped and my typing fingers taped.:angel2:

Humour is allowed. Failed humour not so much.

I should know. I’ve copped a few warnings for same.

The last warning read “You might think you’re funny, but you’re not. Do it again and you will be permanently banned.”

    Okay, that isn’t true.

The bit about my oft failed humour - yes, that’s definitely true but fortunately that isn’t policed here. Like it or not, my bad jokes are permitted and must be suffered.

“Why did the chicken cross the road?”…..stay tuned for the answer.

Foreman by KO. Williams may or may not drop Foreman. But after a titanic battle, Foreman puts Williams down for a 10 count.

I knew your pick would be that “kid” named Cleveland Williams. :D

We know the Big Cat and George boxed at least one exhibition in 1970.

There’s a photo of both of them promoting the exhibition.

What we would give to have a film of that.

It would be interesting to compare them size wise and get some idea of the stylistic mesh.

lol Williams' wikipedia page also stated they sparred "very early in their careers" which annoyed me every time I read it to the point I had to change it.

The stylistic mesh is certainly very interesting.

On the surface, Williams huge speed advantage combined with his power (said to be greater than Liston's by men who've tasted leather from both), and taking into account Foreman's inferior (to Liston) defense, and boxing skills likely spell doom for him, but **** watching Foreman demolish Frazier, and Norton with ease, makes it hard for me to completely count him out.

Foreman weathers whatever storm Cleve brings and knocks him out around the same time Sonny did

I'll allow it this time. As long as Williams is the winner of course.

There you have it, folks. Gorgeous George a puncher’s chance. Maybe even worth a punt at decent odds.

Yes, I wouldn’t completely shut the door on Foreman’s chances but let’s face it, they are slim at best. For however long George can hang, it will be based purely on his fighting heart.

I can not believe on people having orgasms while talking and praising one handed slugger with questionable chin who was knocked out by LHW and never beat anyone good.

And to hear people saying he would have chances against George because Liston is better is insane, Liston is not as fast starter and aggressive as Foreman who would bully Cleve and maybe kill him much worse than Satterfield did.

Cleve would be lucky to see 3rd round but there are not chances.
