At any rate, IF Olek had made that wise decision - to retire, we just know that there would still be that contingent who would, believing that it was a closer fight than it was, claim that Usyk avoided and ducked the rematch - a rematch that they would “calculate” Tyson as having had a good chance of winning.

Like multiple fights that Fury somehow managed not to engage in, including during the period of his deliberate delaying of the Usyk fight - certain fans would always afford Tyson the “imagined” margin of superiority.

It’s a concern when your “paper” credits approximate to or even exceed your material credits. A career well “imagined”.

One very strange (or not so strange) thing on this board - fair critique of Fury inexplicably defaults you into a “hater” and an AJ “fanboy” at the same time. Lol.

Yeah, prior to the first AJ fight and especially the rematch Usyk had been criminally underpaid but he's earned extremely well since the Saudis got involved.

£115million.

'Fury is understood to have taken home £85million of that, after an agreement was reached for him to claim a bigger cut.

Usyk won much less despite winning, collecting roughly £30million.'

That's how much it took and how much of an unfair split it took to prise that big fat shaved chimp out of the chicken coop

But Usyk is reputedly set to take home the lion's share of a £150 million split this time albeit I bet it's still a lot closer to 50/50 than the purse for the first fight was, assuming these figures are correct that is

Usyk did get royally screwed the first time around.

Going in Fury and Sugar H realize they can't outbox Usyk, I think the gameplan is going to be to make the fight as rugged on the inside as possible and muscle and bulk Usyk around. I think Fury is going to willingly give up rounds to try to overpower Usyk. The thing is, if he can't (and I don't think he can), he's gonna run out of gas and end up getting stopped by Usyk.

If only Fury and these other "super" heavies had the gumption and nuts to actually attempt to break down and overwhelm Usyk with their size. They're terrified of getting countered and gassing.

The minute I saw Fury sticking his jab out and using lateral movement, I knew he was going to go for another sorry ass attempt to outbox the same guy who clearly outboxed him last time. It makes me not want to bother holding my breath for Dubois 2 because I'm expecting him to do something goofy as well trying to box behind a jab and outpoint Usyk. It doesn't work. Unless you have a similar level of ring IQ and skill, you don't have a prayer of outboxing Usyk at his pace doing the cute back and forth shuffling and throwing light/medium flurries.
