You just agreed "exactly" that it's not relevant, only to bring up the same point again as if it were.

Any version of Fury mops AJ especially now following Dubois

I'm wondering how much the Usyk fight took out of Fury. He often looked completely out of it, even vs. Cunningham but came back even against lethal punchers like Wilder. But these type of punishing blows accumulate over a career and he's 36yo coming off a rough outing. Usyk too at 37 and did took heavy blows vs. a much larger fellas so he's in danger too. But one feels there's a tipping point where all these scary moments break the dam and Fury's gone, see Joyce in the 2nd Zhang fight or Roy after Tarver.

The same question could and probably should be asked about Usyk.

This is another pick em fight and there are many possible outcomes.

The ref did do things wrong.

Why hold off calling a tech KD when the criteria for same existed several times earlier in the round?

It was an attempt to avert Fury suffering a 10-8 round by immediate default. No favour was being done for Usyk.

As to Usyk not being able to finish Fury - he was obstructed at least twice during his onslaught - so the ref tried to avert a 10-8 round but still manifestly assisted Fury at the same time.

The first time, the ref literally moved in out of his position to separate them for no good reason - laying hands on Usyk ONLY - which bought time for Fury to skittle back into the ropes on the either side of the ring, requiring Usyk to have to chase him.

Then we know that ultimately and inconsistently the ref elected to call a tech KD ONLY when Usyk was about to land the coup de grace shot(s).

The ref then gave a mandatory 8 count - and then a further 10 seconds of respite performing his checks on Fury’s condition to take him to the end of the round.

A FULL 18 seconds respite - a further 10 seconds added which obviously prevented Usyk from resuming his attack before the round ended.

IF the ref deemed Fury fit to continue, then why did he also see need to illegally assist Fury part way back to his corner - fighters of course being required to get back to their corner under their own steam?

It’s a totally BS narrative, sans any analysis, to suggest that Usyk couldn’t finish the job - a 180 flip from the reality that Usyk was robbed/deprived of an otherwise rightful stoppage/KO.

It’s also a no brainer to understand that Usyk shot his wad (prudently) going for a KO/stoppage that he was ultimately robbed of - the effort depleting his tank for several rounds thereafter.

As to other refs possibly letting the Dubois low blow go?

If they did, they would’ve been dead wrong.

A painfully obvious low blow on a guy who wears his trunks exactly where they should be - notably, unlike Dubois himself.

That Fury chimed in on the act of accusing Usyk of wearing his trunks too high showed exactly where Tyson himself was at. He tried on a few himself in the first Usyk fight.

And, the ref in question failed to properly police all the other low blows landed by Dubois prior to and after Usyk went down -

Dubois’ illegal intentions were clear - so trying to suggest that Usyk got “lucky” on that occasion is another ridiculously false narrative.

Well, we need to see Fury actually do the forecasted mopping - there was the perceived lock win over Ngannou after all and Fury doesn’t hit like Dubois also.

Nah, in that case, he should fight AJ to finally decide who's the second best heavyweight of this (previous?) era.

What makes you think AJ is anywhere near 2nd best after his latest humiliating defeat?

Has a deeper resume than Fury despite the loses and the 2 boxers other than Usyk he lost to Fury didn't even fight. So their match up would answer the question who is better, at least at that stage. And AJ is clearly above every other heavyweight not named Usyk and Fury when it comes to the era we're talking about. So if Tyson loses to Usyk, especially by stopagge, it's still an open question.

A-side dynamics are a thing. Roles reversed, it is very likely that fight would have been stopped. Not complaining, just saying do not ignore A-side dynamics

The toughest he had. But ironically, Fury wasn't the best at performing against Usyk.

Does Usyk retire if the impossible happens and he gets flattened?
Let's face it him being unbeaten and holding the belts is what keeps him at the table, otherwise he is just another champion who has held some belts for a few years

A heavy loss and he is fighting some bum and be lucky to draw flies. Caauals don't care about him and unfortunately they make up the bulk of the paying customer

Fury gets flattened like a bum and he still has a blockbuster with Aj if he wants it and it will do 10x better business than usyk fighting dubois again, or defending against the next guy

I think he retires win or lose. He’s done everything maybe except losing or impressing you :)

Fury retires if the all day breakfast is cancelled at the Premier Inn.

Of course he will retire, but that doesn't mean he won't fight.
