Apologies if it's against the rules to refer to other sites.

I noticed a couple of weeks ago that the eyeonthering site seemed to be down.

Is it definitely down or does it have a new URL?

Because there's no link to the new site, I would imagine that it's down which is a shame.

    It was a good site.

Don't know, it's been down close to a month now. I emailed the site owner but haven't heard a word back yet.

Time to check archive.org to rescue saved pages.

It's a site to score fights past, present & future. They have a huge catalog of fights has far back as the 1920's to current day. Or at least it did, the site has been down for at least a month now.

Still down, shame. I have many scorecards on there I used as an archive. I'm not sure it will be coming back, it's been almost 2 months now.

It was indeed a good site but it got duplicated by Boxrec.

I don't think BoxRec's fan scoring feature comes even close to being a replacement (let alone death-knell competition) for EOTR. :nusenuse:

So much history and growth equity on the latter, over years it became a place you could know from a quick glance at the aggregates where the wind blew. I don't think BR's can ever duplicate that, it's known and valued for an entirely different utility.

It is true, but most people don't care about that though. They just want a place to score fights and have all the fan cards put in one kitty. Boxrec was getting higher numbers when both were active too.

But there are loads of fight scoring apps and sites now. Boxing News got its own quite recently. I think they've been duplicated out of the market.

It was an enormous resource. I got to know some of the names of the best scorers and if i was researches the scoring trends for a particular decision i'd look for them. For me it was completely about checking trends on certain older fights.
