    Yeaaaa, no.

Loma is certainly not on the level of Jones as a fighter. You're on an island all by yourself with that one. Then again, this is Eastside, so you probably do have others who agree, sadly.

He was also P4P number 1 or 2, had all the belts, and was a lot younger at the time. But people don't want to talk about that

Terrible style match up for Loma. He has more than enough craft to go 12 and steal some rounds, but this has Floyd UD written all over it.

Mayweather has a 7-0 record vs southpaws I believe he's also beaten better southpaws like Pacquiao and beaten bigger faster more powerful southpaws like Judah.

Mayweather would win 117-111, 116-112 type of decision.

Firstly, Floyd would never fight a prime Loma, let alone in his country with home refs and judges as has been the American deck-stacking way for a long time now.

Hence why they keep robbing foreigners religiously over there, and especially ones from Loma's part of the world who ever so mysteriously come away with Ls 99 times (or whatever ridiculously high between 95-99% exact figure it is) out of 100 in all these ''close fights which could've gone either way'' over there

And hence why Loma has 3 defeats on his ledger when it should only be 1 and why so many fighters from former Soviet states have been robbed over there and had a huge part of their legacies stolen from them by these corrupt as sin thieving scumbag judges and refs

Floyd lost to JLC and Maidana in his own country but every single person on here knows damn well had those fights been fought over in Mexico and Argentina respectively, let alone with home refs and judges, there's no way in a million years he would've got the decision in either and his entire claim to being undefeated would never have been a thing. Not that Floyd would've ever dared fought them in their countries or anything just like he would've dared fight Manny in his country and history will attest to that in the most resounding fashion

FTR, that's the same Maidana who got schooled by Devon Alexander whilst Maidana was wearing the perfectly legal set of puncher's gloves Floyd was too terrified to allow him to wear

And the same JLC who had been knocked out or stopped x 4 prior to fighting Floyd

And that's the same Floyd who IIRC said that if a fighter has been beaten there's a blueprint to beat them. How many undefeated fighters did he face in those 50 fights again? I got the number 3 in my head for some reason but I could be wrong

As I said earlier in the thread, Floyd struggled against slickness and in complete contrast to Loma who has had a reach advantage a staggering once in his career and a small one at that, and that was against GRJ who he reduced to only landing 10% of his punches even though GRJ had the fastest hands in the game and Loma stood in front of him all night, has been at a 3'' reach disadvantage or more for at least 10 of his 21 fights, and a near 6'' or more one for 6 of them

Floyd is the one who had a huge reach advantage or advantage in almost all 50 of his fights and he often struggled on the rare occasions he didn't or was facing someone with similar reach just like he struggled with slickness. Hence why he forged a career fighting tons of flat footed slow or slower plodders with short or shorter reaches

And the fact I keep having to explain this to the context ignoring dumbs says it all.

Loma didn't turn pro when he was a teenager like Floyd and most other greats and borderline greats did. He turned pro when he was going on 26. Had he turned pro in his teens like they did, duh, he would've done so at a much lower weight than 126 and 135 would be at least his sixth weight class with same day weigh ins. He was campaigning at atomweight with same day weigh ins when he was the age Manny turned pro

Atomweight (also referred to as light minimumweight, junior strawweight, junior mini-flyweight and pinweight)

And had he turned pro at that age 135 would be like his 9th weight class not his 3rd and unlike Floyd he doesn't have a freakish 72'' reach which if you understand anything about Floyd and his style of boxing you will know how paramount distance control and his reach was to his success and offence and defence.

Loma doesn't get to hide behind a super long reach in the safe zone where is much easier to be a defensive whizz. He has to close the distance to land with his shots and then slide back out again without getting hit on the way in which he is incredible at doing despite the fact it's so much more difficult and risky to do and takes much more skill to do. It's akin to walking through the rain without getting wet with an umbrella compared to without one

And unlike Manny he doesn't have a gigantic HW sized head and other abnormal sized body parts for his size like huge wrists and calves

Loma has a tiny 126 pounder frame

Separated by five weight classes when this photo was taken

    This content is protected

And another very important piece of context these clowns conveniently ignore. Unlike so many multiple weight champions who had to jack themselves with PEDs to help them bridging the gap to win world titles at multiple weights and hold their own against bigger men, Loma, who would be a 6-8 weight champ had he turned pro in his mid-late teens not a 3 weight one, isn't a PED cheat.

And he has never tried to weaken any of his opponents with catchweights or rehydration clauses like Floyd, Manny and others have numerous times.

He's fighting these much/way bigger guys at full strength in their backyards or on the road, whilst routinely giving away huge physical advantages without PEDs, catchweights or rehydration clauses despite the fact that, as said, 135 would be like between his 6th-9th weight class had he tuned pro at the same age their gods did

Whilst doing VADA testing which clear as day PED cheat Floyd categorically refused to do and did someone mention Roy in this thread? Another multiple weight champ PED cheat. And yes he was 100% a PED cheat and the muh Ripped Fuel excuse is pure BS. But strangely the no context/context is everything when it's one of our boys brigade forget to mention that. Well, he ain't passing VADA in a million years either so put that bit of context in your pipe

And Loma is fighting all his American opponents in their backyards/country with home refs and three home judges something Floyd has never done once in 50 fights and nor has any current American fighter ever done or will ever do for world title fights because, duh, the US is the only country in the world they do this and it's practically the norm over there.

As said, Floyd has at least 10 or so pounds of natural size on Loma and close to 7'' in reach on him but Loma doesn't struggle with slickness like he does

    Loma KO1 Floyd

There's very little evidence of favoritism for Floyd on the part of the judges though. Aside from Castillo what scorecards do you take issue with?

Most people had Floyd beating Oscar and Canelo by far bigger margins than the official scorecards

I'm not sure what you're laughing about. Unless it's at yourself and the dumb comment you made?

That's not what happened but I'm glad you said that

The only thing he struggled with against Haney is the size and length of the biggest weight bully in the sport who had an obscene 20lb weight advantage over him a massive reach advantage, a reach disadvantage Floyd never had to contend with against anyone

How many times was Floyd giving away almost 6'' reach?

How many times was he doing so against a very technically sound opponent who knows how to use that huge reach advantage to keep you at bay?

How many times was he doing so whilst giving away 20lbs in weight?

How many times was he doing so whilst facing a slick boxer?

How many times whilst doing so against someone in their backyard/country?

How many times was he doing so in their backyard/country with a home country ref?

How many times was he doing so in their backyard/country with a home country ref and three home judges?

How many times was he doing so in their backyard/country with a home country ref and three judges with a 36 hour weigh in?

How many times was he doing so at 35 y/o?

How many times was he up against all that simultaneously in his 50 fight career like Loma was in that fight and we already know Floyd struggled with slickness and reach?

Answers on a postcard please albeit I'm fairly certain the answer to all those questions is NEVER, let alone doing so all at once

There is favouritism for American fighters, whose top fighters are the least likely to travel, fighting in the US in general and it's the only country in the world, literally, where they stack the deck in world title fights with a home ref and three US judge for world title fights between a home and away fighter, and even worse not only is it the only country in the world they do that (ie. it never happens in any other country) but it's almost the norm over there which is an absolutely insane advantage for them

Floyd lost to JLC and Maidana. That's favouritism and it means the difference between him being 47-2 and 49-0

And obviously it's harder to win in your opponent's country and on the road and your chances of losing by hook or by crook are far greater than they are ay home and he never did either once

Yes, he fought an extremely inactive semi-retired past prime coke fiend Oscar who had fought once in almost 3 years (just 6 rounds of action in 32 months), not at all in a whole year, should've been 1-3 in his last 4 fights in many people's eyes

And he crippled Clenelo at the negotiating table with a catchweight (something Loma has never done once) after saying he'd never fight anyone at a catchweight because he wanted his opponents at full strength and fighting them at catchweights ensures they won't be.

A lazy Clenelo who could only fight in spurts at that stage in his career and was so weakened by the catchweight he had to pull up a chair at the weigh in and sit down which even Floyd super fanboy Andre Ward said really concerned him and that he'd never seen any fighter do before

At the end of the day, none of these honorable respectable acts matter in a matchup against Floyd.

You would agree that this would be another matchup where Floyd has the height, weight and reach advantage no ? I also think he's far beyond anything Loma has stepped in the ring with in terms of ability. Lets be even more realistic, Floyd would also be the A side

    Serge is right, my guy.

Loma struggled with Haney's length and reach, not his "slickness."

Haney's a quality boxer, but he's not especially "slick."

Yeah that's why Lomas average connect percentage cut in half against Haney. Haneys defense is crap and still managed to make Loma miss about 80%. So either way, the point still stands. Floyd does everything better than Devin
