Damn! I was really looking forward to watching that on Christmas Eve I had my whole night planned around it haha.
Yeah no argument with Shotgun winning agreed that one card was ridiculous. I seen Parr’s team crying robbery which to me doesn’t make sense if they were going to rob anyone you think it would be Shotgun seeing as though Parr is young has the well known family name and even works on commentary for Foxtel.
Feel for Jai. That's a real kick in the guts less than a month out. Hopefully they can find him someone worthwhile.
Aussie boxing should have an airing of grievances - Tim Tszyu’s cut man, fighting the Russian in Florida. Paro fighting run and jab merchant in Hitchins quite a lot this year haha.
Agree. People complained about Wellem for Wallace too but that’s probably because they weren’t familiar with him. Turned out the fight was a ripper and Wellem gave him hell for a while. That’s the beauty of YouTube and similar. Sit there and watch a bit of these guys beforehand before going off half cocked on Facebook and the like. Potgieter is a tough come forward fighter who punches well enough. He’s the South African Heavyweight champion and perhaps most importantly he’s also had tons of preparation time. It should be a good fight while it lasts.
Anyone know the plans for Liam Wilson in 2025? He was chasing Kambosos but he is now officially at 140.
Andrew Moloney had a win in Melbourne last night. Stopped a Thai who's 47-7-2 record looks okay until you look at the caliber of opponents he has fought. However, Moloney was due for an outing against a lesser quality opponent and got it done in 3.
Fenech going off about the judging in O'Connell-Parr and rightly so. For what it's worth, I thought it was close and have no issue with Shannon getting the win but the cards were all over the place. 78-74, 75-77 and the stinker 80-72. Ian Batty, who handed in the 80-72 card, scored every round to Shannon. He looks about 90 and was watching a different fight to everyone else.
This content is protected Card is coming together. Opponent for Opetaia locked in. Announced shortly.
Also announced is former Comms Games competitor Billy McAllister against Gold Coast’s Jordan Towns. Atmosphere should be rocking on fight night. A sell-out is expected.
I can't say much now mate. But I think it's a tougher fight for Jai than Cinkara and I think fight fans will be happy.
