    Post em' here!

Can be anything that's ever crossed your mind that you won't easily budge on (Try to keep it to things we haven't heard a dozen times a week already)

A few of mine from today.

Outside of a few freak cuts early in his career, Mexico's Marcos Villasana was as close to a indestructible rock as boxers get. His chin was proven beyond reasonable doubt time and time again and never even budged an inch none the less wavered. I don't see anyone around his weight class in history finishing him on anything but a cut.

Rocky Marciano wouldn't stop the opponents that survived a prime Tyson over the same distance. So, Tony Tucker & Bonecrusher over 12, and Mitch Green and Tillis over 10.

Tillis in particular put in a complete and well rounded effort few saw coming. Green showed a ATG chin at the expense of his dentistry, and Tucker and Bonecrusher also showed great chins and in Bonecrusher's case a lot of spoiling with his size and strength. I think all four go the distance with Marciano and would beat good money on it.

David Izon is seriously underrated and had real tools. A brief prime and shot by 33, but a heart the size of any man that ever stepped into the ring along with other assets. The Jefferson fight was as badly as I've ever seen a heavyweight beaten then rally to win.

Here's a real hot take... Derreck Jefferson was a more talented then average NFL/Football athlete turned pro boxer. Decide for yourself what that means as guys like the white Jimmy Ellis and Seth Mitchell are the fighters I'm thinking of that he was clearly better then.

    Man, that Maurice Harris fight...

I agree with this. That was essentially as perfect a punch as we ever saw Cooper throw and it landed right on the button. It was perfect.

Braddock and Buster Douglas beat most lineal HW champs H2H and people have pigeonholed them into being lucky underdogs because they are known for upsets.

Ezzard Charles is not a top 5 or top 10 LHWs of all time. All his wins over Bivins and Maxim were at HW and he was not one of the 4 champions of the WW2 era. Charles reallys only got the 3 Moore wins and 2 Marshall wins. Moore wasn't Moore yet and Marshall beat Charles very badly in an eliminator.

Weight classes have led to people overestimating the impact of 7 or 8 pounds or even 20 pounds on a fight. WWs used to fight at HW. I feel people are handicapping way too steeply in favor of the little guy.

Jerry Quarry gets every benefit of every doubt for no reason.

Offensive fighters with good defence are more skilled than defensive fighters, because they take much more risks while still remaining defensive responsible.

On their best nights Muhammad Ali, George Foreman, and Lennox Lewis are at least pickems against any boxer who ever lived.

The fact that Charles himself was w/in the LHW limit for some of those wins doesn't contribute to his legacy as a LHW?

Armstrong has a case for being rated the #1 LW all-time on the strength of winning the WW title while weighing only 1.5 lb over the LW limit (& only weighed even as high as that b/c he was forced to by the Commission).

On a strictly H2h basis, Hearns is no less than 50-50 vs. any WW in history except either Sugar ray.

DurĂ n had a chance of beating Henry Armstrong,as he knew how to hold better using his arms, Armstrong was more of a pusher, sticks and can't get off you.

Ali arranged his fights with Spinks so he could become the first three-time champion at Heavy.

Manny Pacquiao is the greatest fighter of his era and should rank higher than Floyd Mayweather Jr.

That version of Buster Douglas would have always given Mike Tyson trouble. Not saying he wins but he would have always been in the fight.
