He did but he was a non threat unlike Morrell. He just looks and seems so on edge lately

Man, he looks flabby as hell in that Pic. Easily 200 pounds.

Now Govzdyk was no threat? You must rate Benavidez damn high.

I'm not really convinced that Benavidez is all that much better than his brother tbh. And I certainly don't trust the instructions of his father as a trainer. Benavidez seems a little arrogant and overconfident to me and I don't really think he lives the life either judging by his shape, his prior coke addiction, and the fact he was wasted when he got interviewed in the crowd a while back. He's too flat-footed and too reliant on his physicality and combination punching for my taste. Morrell is better schooled, hits harder, and has a better team imo. I just think Benavidez is too plodding to deal with the versatility of Morrell.

When David a beats a 37 year old, he's ancient but when Canelo does, its a great win. Hilarious.

Based on their last two performances, I will have to pick Benavidez.

It wouldn't shock me one bit if Morrell won this fight. He is a really well schooled guy that seems too take way better care of himself in between fights than Benavidez does. I like Benavidez a lot as well but I think it might be Morrell's time.

He fought like an absolute non threat threw no punches never tried to win at any point obviously just showed up for a paycheck. Don't compare that to Morrell. Morrell is legit a threat.

This is the first really interesting fight of 2025.

February is a great month for boxing.

Prior to Morrell's last fight against Kalajdzic I thought this would be a pick 'em fight. It's still a dangerous fight for Benavidez in the early rounds but as the fight goes on I think the odds shift to Benavidez. After 7, if it goes that long, I think Benavidez wins this fight.
